Traffic Signal / Pedestrian Signal Archived1041 Forest Rd New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - WestvilleI have posted this issue multiple times and the traffic dept keeps closing it without actually solving the issue. Please read this carefully - when a car is stopped at the intersection of Edgewood AVENUE and Forest Rd, the light will not change until a car trips the light coming from across the intersection on Edgewood Way. If there are no cars waiting on Edgewood Way, you will sit at this light indefinitely. The light turns red for cars on Forest Rd, the cross walk counts down, then the light turns green for cars on Forest Rd again, and the light remains red on Edgewood AVENUE the entire time, over and over. I have posted this issue multiple times and the traffic dept claims to have "tested" the issue, but they must be "testing" the wrong intersection, because this light never turns green for cars on Edgewood AVENUE unless there are cars waiting on Edgewood Way.

Traffic Signal / Pedestrian Signal Archived1041 Forest Rd New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - WestvilleWhen approaching this intersection from Edgewood Ave, the light will not change until a car trips the light on Edgewood Way. I have sat at this light for five or six light changes at night, when no cars approach on Edgewood Way. The light turns red for cars on Forest Rd, the cross walk counts down, then the light turns green for Forest Rd cars again, and the light remains red on Edgewood Rd cars the entire time, over and over again. Only if you drive all the way up into the middle of the cross-walk, will the light turn green for Edgewood Rd. I posted this issue before and the traffic dept closed complaint without actually solving the issue. It is a very dangerous hazard because cars coming up Edgewood Rd end up having to run the red light because it never turns green.

Traffic Signal / Pedestrian Signal ArchivedEdgewood Ave & Forest Rd New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - WestvilleWhen approaching this intersection coming up Edgewood Ave, the light will not change until a car trips the light on Edgewood Way. I have sat at this light for five minutes at night, when no cars approach on Edgewood Way. The road switches at this intersection work perfectly on Edgewood Way, but don't work at all on Edgewood Ave.
