Parks Department Issue AcknowledgedOakledge Park And Beach Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington ElectricCars regularly park on the bike path at the Oakledge entrance and we keep asking them to move so they don't block our bikes and encroach on people and kids.. Installing a metal post would help a great deal, more people are doing this since there's nothing to dissuade them Thanks!

Parks Department Issue Archived1–69 Flynn Ave Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington ElectricThanks for finally clearing out the vagrants and illegal campers from Oakledge after contacting the mayor . unfortunately since they were allowed to live at the park for so many weeks, they are returning because they're confident nobody will do anything anytime soon . A man has been living for over a week in the path to South Cove from the field below the tree house He has set up a large tarp and tent blocking the walking path into the woods . Please do not let these people live at Oakledge and prevent people from peacefully walking through the park, thanks .

Parks Department Issue ArchivedOakledge Park And Beach Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington ElectricThere are people who have been camping at Oakledge for weeks. As they're allowed to stay, more people move in to enjoy the spectacular views. One guy has been reported a few times, hanging his laundry at the back of the field across from Blanchard, secure in the knowledge nobody will make him leave Tents are in open fields tucked near vegetation, apparently secure in the knowledge the 50 yards is too strenuous for city employees to reach . one guy has been living at the south pavilion and I've seen people prepping for parties who have had to kick him out . Spoils the party vibes Since he's been permitted to stay, now another tent has been planted next to the pavilion .

Parks Department Issue ArchivedIsland Line Trail Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington ElectricSecond request to please trim brush and branches blocking the bike path along the south end from Oakledge bridge to roundhouse park . They're daily trimming already well-trimmed areas north of the park Why won't they trim the south side? Are they afraid of the troll living under the bridge? We promise he's a nice troll! We keep him well fed with slow wandering tourists so it's safe for workers to trim the low branches and brush blocking the path People swerve to avoid branches and have knocked into people going the other way.. Please help make the bike path safe and trim low branches and brush along the south end, thank you very much!

Parks Department Issue ArchivedIsland Line Trail Burlington VT 05401, United States - Burlington ElectricLow hanging branches are whapping cyclists all the way from the bridge into Oakledge to roundhouse park, also ground-level vegetation is encroaching . They're doing a beautiful job maintaining the bike path north, please don't forget the south end of the bike path needs care as well . Daily bike commuters appreciate your efforts, thank you very much!
