is this really necessary? I have been walking to work for five years using this path. It saves me a couple minutes each day and I enjoy the feeling of walking down old railroad tracks. I know that I have seen motorcycles use this path, and if the problem is motorized vehicles, there's got to be some sort of a solution that would at least allow foot traffic and or bicycle traffic. It's probably outside of the city's jurisdiction, but if you can do anything to fix this I think it definitely adds to the aesthetic of the town and helps to make us a more walkable and bikeable City.

directly adjacent to an apartment building of more than 80 units, this sidewalk has also become a main thoroughfare for people commuting to work, and for people visiting tourist attractions like Lake Champlain chocolates and the three breweries in the south end. So as long as I've lived here, drainage on this sidewalk and in the corridor as a whole has been pretty bad (further north between battery street jeans and content is also a flood plain). I know there are plans to revamp this whole area, but I feel like those plans have been in the works for a long time. if there's anything to be done in the interim, I think you would make the city a much more walkable place.

this is an apartment complex with 80 or sp units. Our recycling pick up is on Monday. since memorial day was Monday, there was no pick up. but to not have a pickup another day during the week is sort of silly.
