Definite Public Safety and traffic problem on Chatsworth street between Topanga & De Soto. Excessive speeding and running of stop signs on a residential equestrian zone street. Over five boarding & riding stables and many horses in back yards. Motorists are using street as short cut to freeways. 35 mile speed limit seems a bit fast with children riding horses on the dirt path along side of street have to navigate around parked cars on the side dirt shoulder. Need more "caution " "Slow" "Entering Horse area" and "children at play" signs. Currently very few horse signs. Desperately need police presence giving tickets before someone gets killed. DOT need to mark the road by Browns CYN wash is, there is a bicycle / pedestrian / equestrian crossing street crossing . Neighborhood council thinks a flashing pedestrian light would be best like the near by see image of crossing:
