  • 900 Fallon St Oakland 94607, United States - Civic Center
Oakland museum's food delivery loads on the bike lane every Tuesday morning at 7:30 when cyclists are headed to work and school. This is super dangerous as cars drive pretty aggressively here to cut onto 980

Bike Lanes on second are too narrow to be safe. You're putting cyclists squarely on the door zone and appear to have even marked them as such. What's the point? It'd be safer to have sharrows not nothing at all.

Got buzzed by a Subaru Outback plate # 6CNL030 this morning. When caught at the light I was told that "cyclists don't belong on the roads". Why has OAKDOT not built bike lanes that actually connect here? The bike lane -> sharrow mixing zone -> bike lane again pattern is incredibly dangerous as motorists do not slow down and feel entitled to the lane. Pic provided to show how this motorist was less than a foot away when passing at high speed.

Camper van is parked with it's trailer obstructing the bike lane AGAIN. This is highly dangerous and whoemever this is is constantly doing it.

  • 255 2nd St Oakland 94607, United States - Old City-Produce And Waterfront
Just a sea of delivery trucks and full tractor trailers all along second causing dangerous situations for cyclists and vehicles. Make them get a permit to shut down second if they're going to block it, otherwise please enforce illegal behavior putting others at risk.

  • Covenant House 200 Harrison Street, Oakland, CA 94607, United States of America - Old City-Produce And Waterfront
Bus obstructing the bike lane. They're there every morning. Parking lane not painted wide enough to fit large vehicles and bike lane puts cyclists squarely in the door zone.
  • Allegro At Jack London Square 2nd Street, Oakland, CA 94501, United States of America - Produce And Waterfront
Trucks, cars, and buses all obstructing the bike lane this morning. OAKDOT really needs a better solution here.
  • Cafe Dareye 25th Street, Oakland, CA 94612, United States of America - Northgate
Cars in the bike lane again. This is hitting critical mass where enough cars are parked in the lane for everyone to think it's okay. There were two more in addition to this with one activity pushing the planters out of the way and running over the soft hit posts.
  • 200 Second Street 2nd Street, Oakland, CA 94501, United States of America - Produce And Waterfront
The bike lane on 3rd is so poorly implemented that's it's more dangerous than having nothing at this point. Both the lane itself and the parking lane were painted so narrow that cars are half parked in the bike lane which is already squarely in the door zone. On my morning commute I've found it safer to just take the lane and get honked at or close passed rather than risk getting doored. If we're not going to fix this can we please ensure that poor implementation like this does not happen again? I imagine this will only worsen as those giant apartment complexes finish and there's more traffic both auto and bicycle in the area.
  • 6500 Broadway Oakland, CA 94618, USA - Upper Rockridge
    Car parked in bike lane
  • 5143-5245 Park Blvd Oakland, CA 94611, USA - Piedmont
Coming down park there is a horribly patched section of road that winds up being the most dangerous part of my morning bicycle commute. I have to go over this 1-2" ridge at high speed as there is no bicycle infrastructure on park and I have to keep with the flow of aggressive car traffic going by me at >35-45mph
