As reported in seeclickfix issue #5968519
This issue was closed without any fix.
This seems to be something of a constant with the city of St. Petersburg. I open a legitimate issue and the City of St. Petersburg promptly closes without any repair only to have me open a new issue over and over until it gets fixed. Look at my history on seeclickfix and you will see time and time again of open legitimate requests for service and the city just closing them. one even said it was "done". this issue (#5968519) was reported on 6-4-19 and closed by the city on 6-7-19 by Water Conserv StPete 2.
I went by this very morning (6-11-19) and guess what I found.. Yes again the city of St. Petersburg closed one of my issues without any repair being made. So let me repost it again..
This is in English so it should be easy to read.. (Sorry I cannot write it in crayon)
"Street and Sidewalk badly flooded by sprinklers on South Island at MLK and 94th ave. the sidewalk is covered so deep you cannot pass without going into the wet grass. also the water is running in torrents from the island over MLK to the entrance of U-Haul. "

I keep reporting this, I have for over TEN yes TEN years without anyone taking care of this. the problem keeps getting closed or the city offical BTaylor just closed the issue with the LIE that it was "DONE" WTF????

The picture was taken just before writing this..

Can you explain to me how a city offical can lie and get away with closing an issue that clearly
not been address even asking for over TEN (10) years?????
I will need BTaylor's contact info if I need to have the local media or lawyers contact him as I am now looking into further legal action I can take against BTaylor and the city of St. Petersburg for their fraudulent acts.

JUST FIX THE CURB. HOW HARD IS THAT TO UNDERSTAND?? IT SHOULD NOT TAKE ME REPORTING OVER A TEN (10) YEAR PERIOD.

Hedges in front of the Enclave apt. is always growing over the sidewalk. they trim it about every other month but between the palms and pepper tree limbs hang over the walk so you have to walk in the grass to get buy. This is an ongoing problem with this part of the sidewalk and has been going on for years. the hedge should be cut back far enough to two people can walk side by side without one having branches and leaves hitting them. it's really bad after a rain as the limbs are heavy with water and hang out even further and the grass is soaking wet. if someone on a mobility scooter needed to use the walk they would either have to get wet or drive off the sidewalk risking toppling over in the soft lawn. these bushes should be trimmed back so they are never a problem ever again.

If the palms are just trimmed and not removed then please dont just close this issue since it will need to be reopened monthly as new palm leaves block sidewalk.

Sidewalk does not meet the driveway flush. I now have to either trespass on private property or go out on MLK to avoid this. I reported this once before but the person said it was private property and closed the issue.. How was a city sidewalk placed on private property.. if it is then it needs to be moved to city property and make it flush. All this would take is either bringing the entrance way up to meet the sidewalk or grind the sidewalk down to meet the driveway.. Please fix this and not just close it as it does not meet ADA standards

I posted this Back on 9-28-18 issue# 4961978 and again on 10-11-18 it Issue ID: 5012114 and is still not corrected.

Please See photo. you can clearly see the signal is ALL GREEN yet the PED is holding "DONT WALK"
This may be an intermittent problem as this morning I turned around and found the PED with the "WALK" displayed. So just because it displays "WALK" does not mean the problem is solved.

PED is not changing to Walk when light turns green. this PED is not controlled by a PED Button but by the signal Controller. There is only PED buttons for crossing MLK not 83Ave.
PED is stuck on "DONT WALK" '
AGAIN this is the PED facing North on the Southwest corner of 83ed and MLK.

Maybe the Traffic engineer didn't understand.
    So let me clarify.
On this intersection each corner has a PED. the east/West ones require you to press the PED CALL button to accurate the PEDs so you can walk across MLK. The buttons only work for the EAST/WEST PEDS.

The North/South PED accurate when a green light cycle is active. there are NO PED CALL buttons for the NORTH/SOUTH crossings to cross 83ed ave. the only time the controller holds the "DONT WALK" is during a green arrow where the cars will cross the crosswalk.

NOW, if you go to the NORTHWEST corner and LOOK at the PED facing you on SOUTHWEST corner you will see as I did today that the PED does not give a WALK but HOLDS the DONT WALK even through an ALL GREEN cycle.
AGAIN this is the PED ON THE SOUTHWEST corner that is holding DONT WALK.
I travel across this intersection EVERY DAY and it holds the DONT WALK every day..
ALSO let me be very clear there is NO PED CALL button to cross 83ed AVE.

Is it a failure of the PED Display?
Has the Load Switch failed?? (without tripping the conflict monitor??)
    Is it a wiring problem?
Is there something not correctly programmed into the Signal timer?
Is there a failure of either the Controller or MMU?

One whole sections of sidewalk is missing. from the looks of it it has been missing for a very long time as grass has grown in the space where the section is missing. if you look at the tracks in the grass people have worn a rut going around it..

Once again We find the city is not maintaining its own property to the level it requires its citizens to maintain. Canal between 77th Ave has grass that does not comply with city codes that states grass may not be higher then 10".
Can someone at the Mayor's Action committee please tell me why city property is not required to be maintained to the same level as citizens of St. Petersburg? If my yard looked this bad you would be fining me $500 per day untill it was corrected. maybe the salaries of the Mayor's Action committee should be docked that amount until the issue is corrected.. It would only be fair.

Island in the middle of 94 is poorly maintained. and not in compliance with city codes on property maintaince.
a month or two ago it was reported to the city that it was way overgrown and again the city has let this island get way way over grown. the last time they just came in and weedeated the weeds and never properly took care of the island's landscaping. Also since this has been a problem in the past it should be considered a "Chronic Nuisance" and if the landscaping cannot be maintained in compliance with city codes then the entire island should be concreted over to prevent the island from being over grown with weeds and dead bushes etc.
