We are appreciative of the paving the city is undertaking in our area, but received no notice that we would be unable to leave our homes today. We could have placed our vehicles at St. Lukes or some other location outside of our cul-de-sac had we been notified that the only road out of our neighborhood would be blocked. When my husband drove to the corner to leave for work, the gentleman on the backhoe simply looked at him and shrugged. Luckily, we have the ability to work from home and my son was able to ride his bike to an appointment in the Village. I'm not certain all of my neighbors are similarly situated. Please coordinate with this contractor to make sure this sort of thing doesn't happen on future projects.

I understand there is a large construction project in this area, and some issues are unavoidable, but the contractors should be encouraged to do everything possible to leave safe passage for the HS students walking from the St. Luke's parking to DHS. Today, while waiting at the light, I saw students having to walk in the street to avoid hazards in the walkway.

Now that the proposed business for the corner of Mt. Vernon and Chamblee Dunwoody has backed out, will the sidewalks be reinstalled? It took a decade for them to find a taker for the closed gas station on that lot, so I'm not optimistic that a new business is going in any time soon. It's a very busy intersection and there need to be functional sidewalks.

Thank you very much for having the general contractor working at this location remove barrels from the bike lane. However, they recently graded with crushed stone and now the bike lane is blocked with a large pile of crushed stone.
