  • 88 Willett St Albany, New York, 12210 - Center Square
88 Willett routinely fails to clear their sidewalk, which covers a large stretch of this block. It’s been a giant sheet of ice all week long and they have made no effort to put salt down or clear the ice.
  • Street Light La Kaydiiyey
74 Willett St Albany 12210, United States - Center Square
Streetlight Out on Willett just past Hudson Ave. This was first reported six weeks ago and has yet to be fixed.
  • Other La Kaydiiyey
Washington Park Rd Albany 12210, United States - Hudson Park
Dead squirrel in the grass right behind the speed limit sign. Perhaps not the most urgent issue, but I know from past experiences these tend to not get picked up and residents that walk their dogs here have to watch nature take its course until it eventually disappears.

98 Willett St Albany 12210, United States - Center Square

Last night we had fireworks going off in the neighborhood between 12 and 2 am. All very loud explosions. I called into APD around 1 and was given the same response that they’d send someone over. The fireworks continued. Now tonight they’ve been going off for the last half hour or so and I imagine they’ll continue for some time.

Calling noise complaints into APD hasn’t seemed to bear fruit (and it’s been happening since LAST summer) so I’ll continue to post them here in hopes that someone, somewhere in our city’s government will eventually care enough to step in.

For about two hours there have been countless dirt bikes and motorcycles racing down Lark Street and through Washington Park. While I was out walking the dog I saw two of them run the red light at Willett and Hudson without a care in the world. I’ve called APD and was told they’d send someone over - why isn’t someone here patrolling already? If they’ve increased patrol and actually have beat officers in the neighborhood as they claim, why does the problem continue to occur night after night?

For the last week or so, someone in the neighborhood has been launching fireworks in the middle of the night, which explode right behind 75 Willett. I just hung up with APD about this and they said they've received multiple calls. It's happened maybe 3 or 4 times in the last week alone and is becoming a serious problem. Residents should not be woken up out of their sleep every other night by an explosion right next to their window.

This has been parked outside 75 willettt for a couple of weeks now, even on days when parking restrictions are in place. With the CDPHP race tomorrow, residents will need every parking space available (and then some.) Parking authority is so quick to issue citations to residents, but we allow equipment to be parked on our streets and sidewalks for weeks at a time?

300 Lark Street Albany, NY 12210, United States of America - Center Square
Dirt bikes and ATVs have been racing up and down Lark Street since 6 pm. We've called APD twice this evening to report it and have been given the usual response of "they'll send someone over" but it hasn't stopped. We can't allow this to continue all summer long again, but local representatives don't seem to care. Councilman Conti is silent yet again.
  • 75 Willett Street Albany, NY 12210, United States of America - Center Square
Every time the power goes out and comes back on here (which is quite often for some reason) it causes the traffic light outside to become stuck. Currently stuck green on Willett causing traffic to build up on Hudson.

It's midnight and all I can hear is dirt bikes racing up and down Lark Street. It happens on a nightly basis, same place, same time. Police are called routinely and it's been reported a number of times by people here. When can we expect APD to begin cracking down on this?
  • Madison & Lark Lark Street, Albany, NY 12210, United States of America - Center Square
This was reported previously, traffic dept said they reviewed and made adjustments to the timing of the lights at Madison/Lark and Madison/Willett but the issue is not yet resolved. Every single weekday traffic is backed up down Madison Avenue from Willett to S Swan since the road calming project was completed. Cars sit through multiple green lights before traffic gets cleared out of the intersection. The light at Madison and Willett needs further timing adjustment. Between cars going straight down Madison and cars turning from Lark and Delaware there is simply too much traffic for one lane.
  • 88 Willett St Albany, NY 12210, USA - Center Square
The parking restrictions for Madison Ave road work state no parking 6:30 am to 5:00 on each day on "Willett Street's west (Washington Park) side" but signs are posted on both sides of the street. The signs on the east side extend well beyond five spaces and are even posted in front of 88 Willett which is about 8 spots from the end of the street. Not only was this side of the street not included in the press release, they're restricting parking beyond 5 spaces. Residents in this area are always expected to deal with limited parking and this project (however necessary it may be) is making it much worse. The extra spaces we're missing out on from the improper placement of signs are desperately needed.
  • Willett Street Albany, NY - Hudson Park
Dead rabbit has been on the sidewalk at the corner of Willett and Lancaster for weeks.
  • Willett Street Albany, NY - Hudson Park
While we appreciate the signs indicating which side is odd vs even during a snow emergency, it appears they were put up incorrectly. The side of Willett that all of the houses are on has always been the even side (given that all buildings are numbered evenly, with the exception of 75 Willett apts) but they posted odd side signs all the way down this side of the street. During all previous snow emergencies, the side closest to the park was considered the odd side but this is where they've posted the even signs. Hopefully this is fixed before snow falls...
  • Washington Park Road Albany, New York - Central Avenue
Cars traveling straight along Washington Park Road (towards Sprague pl) don't have a stop or yield sign in front of where traffic enters the park from Henry Johnson Blvd. Can be a bit dangerous to navigate because most cars entering the park are taking a left hand turn and don't look for cars going straight.

Willett Street Albany New York - Hudson Park
I live in an apartment building on Willett and have been dealing with the noise of fireworks all month now, they're happening very close to Willett and Hudson and whoever is doing them usually sets multiple ones off between 1 and 2 in the morning.
