  • 1-95 Cumberland Rd Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
The condition of this intersection Appletree Point Road and Cumberland Rd) is beyond patching a pothole or two. This needs to be resurfaced so the water can drain properly. Appletree residents leaving the neighborhood encounter this throughout the year (water or ice). The ramps for a handicap person on both sides are under water and the road across would be impassible due to the road condition.
Maybe it's time to final a grievance with the Vermont Department of Human Resources for individuals with disabilities if this is not corrected this spring.

  • 2-80 Cumberland Rd Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
This is the intersection of Appletree Point Road and Cumberland Road. This intersection has deteriorated making it impassible for residents to cross safely. It is always filled with water, ice and can't drain due to the potholes and caved in street. The drain is 4 feet from this picture but the water can't move to drain because of the road. This has been like this for the past 3 years and needs to be addressed with a resurfacing of this particular area. Patching will not improve this safety hazard for residents crossing to leave the neighborhood. Any handicap person would not be able to cross in bad or good weather conditions.

Throughout the city there are green and yellow billboard signs stating: Win a Trip to Jamaica........
First: They've been on display beyond days aloud
Second: Did whoever put them up ask for permission from the city?
Third: Jamaica is not a place you'd want to win a trip to. This past weekend USA Today and other papers warned of a rape culture of Americans while visiting this country. 78 women have been raped in Jamaica over the past 7 years at various resorts.
Finally: The city should have these signs removed from public property.
