I've been a resident of Burlington my entire life. I grew up on Convent Square in Burlington. As a child my area of play was the waterfront. I've fell thru the ice before 2x the second time we all fell thru but thankfully it was shallow at Texaco Beach. My point being I spent an entire summer when I was 10/11yo from a sever bicycle crash as I was coming down Depot Street. Colodney's Hill. I spent 17 hours in the hospital just having them take the road rash rocks and pebbles , I was shredded. My top speed was approximately 25 mph down to 12 mph. When I say I was shredded I mean my clothes are literally shredded off my body for my fingernails to my watch to my shirt and my pants and all they had left on my neck was the ring or color of my shirt and ask my pants all I had on was the belt loop area

There a lot of cracks and wide, large and small holes that nearly take my bicycle 🚴 out from under me. It's quite scary. Someone will eventually get extremely hurt. I've lived here in Burlington my whole life and the last 12 years I've lived on Lake Street in the Waterfront Housing building. I have an 11yo son and a 13yo daughter. They have a lot of Friends. Even going at a very slow speed it's very dangerous. When I was 10yo I crashed my bike on that hill and it was from debris in the road at that time. I spent 17hrs in the ER while the were stitching me up, patching me up, and the worst was the digging of the rocks uot of all my wounds. That ruined that summer unfortunately. Please fix Depot Street Alison known as Colodney's Hill.
In this day and age, it's likely someone will get hurt and then sue the City. Let's Avoid all that and just fix that road. Thank you for your time and consideration I have faith that Burlington Street apartment will fix the road while you're at it please fix all the potholes on Lake Street there's a lot of them especially down towards the restaurants. The southbound lane is crumbling away so it pulls your car into the holes where the road used to be. Thank you again, take care have a great day. REQUESTFULLY, and RESPECTFULLY,
