Sanitation Department Archiviato7981 2nd Ave S Saint Petersburg, FL, 33707, USA - Causeway Isles Neighborhood AssociationShort term rental home (VTrips.com) at 7981 2nd Ave S has had trash/yard waste piled up in street/at curbside for three weeks. It is clearly an eyesore and a health hazard, not to mention the negative image it projects on our Causeway Isles neighborhood. I am requesting City to pick it up. Property owner and management company need to address immediately and continuously. Perfect example of why short term rentals are bad for the neighborhood.

Traffic Issue Archiviato79th St S & Causeway Blvd S Saint Petersburg, FL, 33707, USA - Causeway Isles Neighborhood AssociationTraffic sign in the median at this location adjacent to the current road construction is down. (second time in one month). Decorative plantings also in the median have been severly damaged due to poor routing of traffic during the construction and subsequent traffic detour. Vehicles are driving over or onto the median destroying the plantings and signage.

Tree Trimming/Removal Archiviato7890-7898 Central Avenue Saint Petersburg, Florida - Causeway Isles Neighborhood AssociationOn the South East corner of Central Avenue and 79th Street S, on the City property, there is a very tall Reganata Palm tree with many dead branches/fronds very close to the power lines. This is a potential hazard when it is windy as the fronds touch the wires/power lines. They need to be trimmed away from the live wires.

Traffic Issue ArchiviatoIntersection Of 79th Street South At Causeway Blvd South Saint Petersburg, Florida - Causeway Isles Neighborhood AssociationThe City did a great job of replacing the brick-like crosswalks at this intersection. However, the white lines/limit lines outlining these crosswalks have not been completed. Thanks for the work already finished. The addition of the white painted lines should complete this project.

Traffic Issue Archiviato12-20 79th Street South And Causeway Blvd S Saint Petersburg, Florida - Causeway Isles Neighborhood AssociationSeveral months ago, the city re paved the intersection at 79Th Street South and Causeway Boulevard South in the Causeway Isles neighborhood of St Petersburg. Thank you.
However, the job was never completed. There is a center median on 79th Street at that intersection and the yellow lines indicating the approaching median and the intersection crosswalks in general were never repainted. In fact, these previous street markings were paved over and thereby ERASED. The lack of these “Approach Markings” has created a severe traffic hazard at this intersection. There is a large palm tree in this median that has previously been hit by a car, when the “Approach Markings” were there. NOW THEY ARE GONE. The fact that the City REMOVED THE TRAFFIC MARKINGS and never replaced them is putting drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians at risk. The lack of a completed set of yellow lines there is certainly a lawsuit waiting to happen, or worse yet, an injury waiting to happen, followed by the lawsuit.
