Can a trash can be placed at the sign behind PATHS marking the Forest City Trail as there is so much trash dropped and may encourage dog owners to pick up poop.... A trashcan there would be great!!

  • 1208 Forest Ave Portland, ME 04103, USA - Portland
I'm assuming I'm not the first one to bring to your attention that clearly something is wrong with the coordination of traffic lights at Morrell corner for the past 48 hours or so. Ridiculously long lines of traffic and it seems very inefficient. Seems to be impacted in all directions.

We have noticed an influx of rats around the neighborhood this summer. It sounds like they are all over the neighborhood for many streets in each direction - maybe even more widespread. The more people we talk to, the more who are experiencing this. What can we do??

I realize that you are overrun with snow removal this year, but I just witnessed a handicapped elderly man almost get hit twice at morrill's corner because the sidewalk in front of McDonald's by the train track has not been shoveled. People are having to walk in the street and that's a dangerous intersection.
  • Forest Ave - Morrill'S Corner Portland, Maine - Portland
The sidewalk along Forest Ave - just north of Morrill's corner - along the side of Subway and further - has not been shoveled - and is rarely shoveled. It is an area with much pedestrian traffic - and often there are PATHS students who stand around there waiting for the bus. When the sidewalks there aren't shoveled - pedestrians end up in the street - which is NOT a good idea in that area.

there are many areas of the fence around Quarry run where dogs are easily getting out. We are here today and my dog is one of three that has escaped. much of the fencing is soft wire fencing and it's been pushed down and there's no way to support it to keep it high enough to keep dogs in.

Eastlawn Rd off of Forest Ave is a short road that curves around back to Forest Ave. People are constantly driving down this road to cut through to the neighborhoods farther back and then have to turn around. It would be nice to install a sign at the end of the road that says "Dead End" or "Not a thru street" to dissuade people from trying to cut down this quiet little street with lots of children!

Much of the fencing at the Quarry Run Dog Park is compromised ...and dogs can get out of the enclosure. This is especially true on the right side of the park, as you go up the hill towards the teepees. Dogs are able to climb over and climb under the fencing.
