  • 11 4th Street Oakland, California - Produce And Waterfront
A homeless encampment and bicycle chop shop is growing at the bicycle path undercrossing under the Nimitz freeway. This is a safety issue, they are encroaching upon the bicycle path and creating a major safety hazard. This is a dark area and the safety of cyclists at night in particular is at risk. Alternative routes around this area (Oak St -> 7th st) while the Embarcadero bridge is being replaced are also hazardous for cyclists.
  • 1432 San Antonio Avenue Alameda, California - Alameda
The men's bathroom at Franklin Park lacks a changing table while the womens bathroom has one. This is inconvenient for fathers with small children visiting this park (and any other parks without changing tables in the men's restrooms). While changing babies on the grass isn't the worst thing, it may be more hygienic to have a changing table in both bathrooms.
  • Sidewalks Archived
1623-1699 Pacific Avenue Alameda, California - Alameda
The sidewalk on the north side of Pacific between Grand and Hibbard has a large hole in it. This appears to be a whole section of sidewalk that is missing. The sidewalk is narrow as plants are overgrown and combined with the hole this produces a hazard for wheelchairs or strollers.
  • Constitution Way Alameda, California - Alameda

Every morning impatient and agressive drivers refuse to merge into the single lane of traffic on Constitution at Mariners square Dr and it enters the Posey tube. This creates a hazard for both drivers and pedestrians crossing Constitution. The same drivers do this every day.

Potential solutions include placing piles of wood screws to the right of traffic, traffic law enforcement. Realistically, small speed bumps or a barrier that would not impeed emergency vehicles placed to force the merge would help resolve this problem.
