It is on the corner of Stuart and La Branch and is now a partially burned abandoned building posing a major safety and health concern. The fence has been destroyed and people are living inside, dumping their trash and waste, building fires for warmth (the consequence of which is pictured), coming and going at all hours of the day and night. There have been reports of illicit activity, and other dangers to the neighborhood. It is very close to schools. Action is needed soon!

The abandoned building at 1505 Stuart Street at the corner of La Branch and Stuart has caught on fire (Dec 7, 2019) and nothing has been done about it. Neighbors have voiced concerns about this property for over a year. There is debris everywhere and people are actually living inside, and illegally dumping inside and around this dilapidated structure with no plumbing, heating (which is why they build fires inside to keep warm). It is a danger to the neighborhood. Either Texas Citizens Bank or Building Development owns it and needs to be held accountable for securing their property.

URGENT: There are numerous vagrants and homeless people setting up camp in this disgusting abandoned building, which is one stray cigarette away from becoming a fire hazard. Police have been called several times due to theft of patio furniture from neighboring homes. These buildings are a disgrace to midtown and the owner (I believe it is bank owned since the builders presumably ran out of money to finish) need to be held accountable. ACTION NEEDED SOON!!!
