Intersection Of Grand St & Van Vorst St -

A traffic light is need at the intersection of Grand St and Van Vorst St - I have almost gotten run over several time as have many other residence in the neighborhood. The sign that has been placed in the center of the road "State Law Stop for Pedestrians" is ineffective. It has been run over and replaced several times. The speed at witch cars travel on Grand St is in excess of the 25 mph as the vehicle race though this intersection to make the green light at the next intersection. It's only a matter of time before someone is struck by a car. Does it take someone being hit for this intersection to get a traffic light?
