At the stop sign where 37th St South meets the East-bound lanes of the Pinellas Bayway (54th Ave South) where one would make a left turn from 37th to travel east on the Bayway toward 34th St, when looking right for approaching East-bound Bayway traffic coming from the "underpass", the City (?) has recently placed and is storing large concrete construction materials at the roadside which partially obstruct the view of on-coming traffic. These should be moved. Little cost, no red tape or approvals needed. (Try this left turn for your self!)

At the stop sign where 37th St South meets the East-bound lanes of the Pinellas Bayway (54th Ave South) where one would make a left turn from 37th to travel east on the Bayway toward 34th St, there's two issues:

1.  Something needs to be done about the excessive speed by East-bound traffic coming around the curve on the Bayway from under the overpass. The speed limit of the Bayway is 45 mph, however cars are coming around at 50 and 55 mph making it a risk with little time to make the left turn from 37th. (Try it for yourself during busy periods!) Perhaps the speed limit should be reduced to 35 mph with prominent signs posted as East-bound cars approach the "underpass".

2. At that same stop sign, when looking right for approaching East-bound Bayway traffic coming from the "underpass", the City has recently placed and is storing large concrete construction materials which partially obstruct the view of on-coming traffic. These should be moved. Little cost, no red tape or approvals needed. (As in #1 above, try this left turn for your self!)
