Yesterday, Saturday Sept 30 2017 we saw a homeless lady sleeping inside our building. She was laying on the floor covering herself with a doormat. When we came back from outside we saw she moved to the last floor of the building near the roof to sleep some more. This is not the first time this issue has happened. She doesn't regularly do this but they keep coming back and using our building as a place to sleep. This is concerning because I found out that in August a resident was raped by a man who entered thru the window of her apartment. I feel the area has become unsafe given the amount of homeless people who sleep at the Old Bergen Church and in Journal Square, We do not know their mental states nor if they have a drinking or drug habit. Please make sure you have more vigilance in area because there are families with children who live in the building. Thank you for your time.
