2995-3011 Glazier Way Ann Arbor, MI, 48105, USA - Ann Arbor
At this and all stop signs along Huron Parkway, especially between Washtenaw, Fuller and Hubbard, drivers neither stop at the Stop signs nor look for pedestrians/bikers on the multipurpose sidewalk. Because Huron is one-way, drivers only look in the direction of oncoming traffic but ignore the sidewalk on the other side. When there is no oncoming traffic, they turn without stopping or looking. I would have been hit/injured/killed multiple times if I did not routinely yield to cars and wait for them to turn since they never looked. To help improve this, at a minimum, I recommend adding signs at each intersection to remind drivers to LOOK both ways and to YIELD to pedestrians/bikers on the sidewalk, and to remind them that pedestrians/bikers on the sidewalk going straight have the right of way compared with cars turning into/out of driveways and cutting them off. Further, a sign about fines for injuring/killing a pedestrian/biker similar to signs about construction workers would hopefully get some attention. If this were prioritized higher, patrolling the area and ticketing drivers who don't stop would hopefully help reinforce that stop signs (and looking both ways) is not optional.
  • 1795 Sheridan Dr Ann Arbor, MI, 48104, USA - Ann Arbor
Shattered glass at Washtenaw and Sheridan just east of Sheridan present after accident ~March 2019. Small shards of glass remain and are contributing to regular flat bike tires. Please have this sidewalk thoroughly cleaned so that remaining glass is removed.
  • Huron Pkwy Ann Arbor, MI, 48105, USA - Ann Arbor
The multiple gaps in the sidewalk along Huron Parkway just north of Geddes Rd at Huron H.S are worsening. Each year the sidewalk gaps widen (due to ice in winter, plants in summer). The >30 gaps include >5 that are >5" wide that span the whole width of the sidewalk. Please fill the gaps with eg tar as is done on the Washtenaw sidewalk near Meri Lou Recreation Center. This helps reduce pinched flat bike tires and painful shocks at the wrist riding over these huge worsening gaps. Regular maintenance of multiple gaps will also help prevent the need for eventual replacement of the full sidewalk.
  • 2317 Manchester Rd Ann Arbor, MI, 48104, USA - Ann Arbor
Multiple potholes along entire Manchester Rd, esp just north of Independence. Unsafe to bike over but also poor visibility by oncoming cars. Options: car-bike accident or more pinched flat bike tires
  • 2014-2098 Manchester Rd Ann Arbor, MI, 48104, USA - Ann Arbor
Multiple large potholes along entire Manchester Rd, esp at the intersection. Unsafe to bike over but also poor visibility by cars, which also try to avoid the pothole lane by driving in the oncoming traffic lane. Options: car-bike accident or more pinched flat bike tires
  • 1822-1878 Manchester Rd Ann Arbor, MI, 48104, USA - Ann Arbor
Multiple potholes along entire Manchester Rd, esp just south of Washtenaw. Unsafe to bike over but also poor visibility by cars, which also try to avoid the pothole lane by driving in the oncoming traffic lane. Options: car-bike accident or more pinched flat bike tires
  • 1888-1898 Glenwood Rd Ann Arbor, MI, 48104, USA - Ann Arbor
Scattered glass on multiuse sidewalk on Washtenaw and at the intersection of Washtenaw and Glenwood just west of Glenwood. Present since accident ~late May and now the glass has become more dispersed, making it harder see. Part of daily bike commute and weekend errands and after today report 3rd flat tire in 2 weeks despite trying to avoid visible glass. Please have this area thoroughly cleaned or it will continue to cause flat bike tires..thank you
  • Huron Parkway Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
Ice on the hill (south hill of the two hills) completely covering the sidewalk. Icy even several days out from snowfall on 2/17. When the sidewalk is incompletely cleared and/or snow is shoveled to the side then melts back and refreezes on the sidewalk, the result is complete ice. Shoveling and salt would greatly help. Unsafe to bike/run/walk over without hanging onto railing.
  • 1900 Manchester Road Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
Multiple potholes along this street have all worsened this winter. Northbound side of road is essentially all potholes. Difficult and unsafe to bike/drive over, resulting in using the incoming lane. Urge repair before they continue to worsen.
  • Manchester And Washtenaw Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
Previous unfixed potholes have significantly worsened and are enormously wide and deep, unsafe to bike/drive over resulting in people using the incoming traffic lane. Please fix so they will not continue to worsen.
  • Huron Parkway And Geddes Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
Scattered glass on Huron Parkway sidewalk just south of the golf course on the sidewalk. Location is on the peak of the more northern of the 2 highest peaks (highest elevation point on the Huron Parkway sidewalk nearest golf course). I tried to clear up as much glass as possible with my shoe but there is still much glass that remains. I have now had 3 flat tires from the glass and other debris (sticks) on Huron sidewalk. Please clear the glass and other natural debris so the sidewalk is clear and safe for pedestrians and bikers. Thanks

Washtenaw And Manchester Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
This is a long stoplight of >2:40 for pedestrian crossing regardless of time of day (incl lower traffic hours). There should be an option for a pedestrian to press the crosswalk button and for it to result in an expedited crosswalk light. Because the stoplight to cross Washtenaw from Manchester is so short, it is impossible to make it as a pedestrian, resulting in missing the light and having to wait a full second light. This is near a bike stop with people trying to/sometimes missing the bus due to the long crosslight. There isn't a peds-triggered crosslight all along Washtenaw from Bear's coffee all the way to Huron Parkway. Washtenaw is already unsafe to cross since cars drive 50+mph and turn in/out wo carefully looking for peds/bikers. I've had numerous near hits on this Ave even in broad daylight wearing a bright yellow reflective bike jacket and with my lights. Having just 1 light that could be peds triggered would help immensely. This whole area could be more peds/biker friendly as it's currently 100% car centric.

Huron And Glazier Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
This is a dangerous intersection for bikers, pedestrians traveling north on the sidewalk. Because cars travel south on Huron, drivers at the intersection of Glazier only look left. They also do not stop at all at this stop sign, let alone look for pedestrians. On today's commute and 3 days ago in broad daylight I would've been struck by another car while bike commuting. This is the norm. I have learned to yield to the cars bc they never pay attention, and sometimes I have to knock on the car to get their attention. I have reported this issue several times and made suggestions such as painting a crosswalk sign (though cars routinely stop IN the crosswalks), a look for bikers/pedestrian sign, etc. What we want to prevent is needing another ghost bike to remind drivers to stop and look for pedestrians/bikers. This is crucial esp with the shorter daylight hours. There is already a problem in broad daylight wearing a bright yellow reflective jacket.
  • 3129 Overridge Drive Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
Huron Parkway sidewalk with several sticks, leaves, acorns etc throughout the sidewalk, with patches of debris especially south of the golf course (eg the 2 peak rolling hills all the way to Berkshire condos). These need to be cleared as they are dangerous. Already resulted in flat bike tire requiring repair + fall. Unlit sidewalk at night + daylight savings time ended so difficult to see the sidewalk obstructions even with bright headlamps.
  • 886 Huron Parkway Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
several overgrown shrubs/trees along Huron Parkway on the west side sidewalk between Glazier and Fuller. Hazadous to bikers and pedestrians
  • Manchester And Washtenaw Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
This street light takes ~2:40 before it changes to the pedestrian walk sign for individuals crossing Washtenaw Ave. This is a really long duration to wait at a stoplight. This city would be more pedestrian friendly if it reduced the wait time when the walk sign is pushed. It only takes a few seconds for pedestrians to cross. Aside from this stop light, there are no other pedestrian crosswalks for several blocks (only stop lights that also take a long duration of >2min regardless if a pedestrian is waiting). *This issue was reopened since it has not been resolved*
  • 2660 Plymouth Road Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
More than a pothole - the street is falling apart, was recently filled with loose rock, and is overall unsafe to bike over. please repair.
  • Baxter Road Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
More than a pothole - the entire side of the street is falling apart and unsafe to bike over. The options are to bike on the other side of the street into oncoming traffic near the stop sign (usual) or to be at risk from falling due to biking over rubble. please repair.

Huron Parkway And Boulder Drive Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
This sidewalk is falling apart, full of potholes, uneven throughout, and has vegetation growing through the cracks. There are several uneven areas/potholes on the sidewalk, but this is one of the most severe areas. Huron Parkway directly adjacent was recently paired, and in the process, rocks/debris were left on the sidewalk, further worsening the sidewalk problem. Biking on this sidewalk is significant slowed, unsafe, and painful at the wrist (due to potholes). Please repair the sidewalks just like the road was repaired.
