    Looks like a dangerous situation.

Mud slide on a property that neighbors and rental tenant have complained about for YEARS and the CITY of OAKLAND continues to take NO ACTION against slumlord. Fire hazards behind the house that the Fire Dept. has "supposedly" cited with NO ACTION taken or consequences. Wells and Bennett manages the property and gladly accepts owners management fees with no willingness to make the property they manage SAFE. Very unprofessional. A broken system in a City claiming to try and keep tenets housed. Here's an example where the City could intervene on behalf of the tenant. She deserves a safe place to live.
  • 4425 Arcadia Ave Oakland, CA, 94602, USA - Oakmore
HUGE dangerous pothole on Arcadia Ave. On streets without sidewalks someone could FALL out walking. It has all the makings of a sink hole. Please fix this one ASAP.

MUD SLIDE. I don't know if this is the City of Oakland, Piedmont or the private property owner's responsibility. Maybe Caltrans since it merges with a freeway exit ramp? Regardless, the "retaining wall" that was made with PLASTIC is NOT holding. This is a SAFTY issue for bikers and drivers at a very BUSY EXIT RAMP. I've reported this numerous times before and the City says it's fixed when IT IS NOT.

Mud slide on to the Off Ramp at Park Blvd. where it merges with Trafalgar & Park Blvd. Private property owner needs retaining wall OR the City needs to take PREVENTATIVE measures. This has been happening every rainy season for years. If there is a creek or trench the drainage isn't working. Planting could help to tighten the soil.
  • E28th Oakland, California - Ivy Hill
This is one of the main streets off Park Blvd. going to an elementary school. The many potholes on E28th have existed for over a year. One has gotten so physically wide + deep it's not only dangerous for people driving, potentially damaging to cars but extremely dangerous for bikes or motorcyclists....
I'd argue it could cause harm to a child inside a car if it wasn't seen at night. The jolt is so incredibly significant.
  • Mountain Blvd Near Leona Lodge Oakland, California - Woodminster
Tree branch down, possibly resting on PG&E line? Looks unsafe. Could fall on a car, pedestrian or biker.
  • 4455 Arcadia Avenue Oakland, California - Oakmore
As the mud slides and keeps pushes this PG&E pole. I know it's rainy season, but the trees need to be cut back around the top. The City should work with residents in a more proactive manner to prevent fires in 2019. These homes need a retaining wall behind them to prevent and protect the street, Arcadia!
  • Arcadia Avenue Oakland, California - Oakmore
This area on Arcadia Ave. looks ripe for a mud slide which would close this storm drain off. It's poorly constructed and in desperate need of a retaining wall around it. As residents remove Eucalyptus Trees the soil is becoming looser and looser. The street has narrowed as a result of rain pushing the mud.
  • 2277-2299 Trafalgar Place Oakland, California - Montclair
Mud slide that's not been cleaned up. Needs a better retaining wall in the future and/or coordination between private prop owner on hill behind somerset and sims drive and City since it's a frontage road off the freeway merging on to Park Blvd. This could be dangerous for a car breaking. Not to mention a biker.

I believe in the urban forest canopy. I am anti-deforestation. BUT when the CITY OF OAKLAND's TREE (yes it's in the public right of way) destroyed multiple cars in the past and WASN'T properly trimmed (and/or removed) despite multiple residents requests.... THIS happened today—luckily no one was hurt. Many of us walk next to this tree since we don't have SIDEWALKS and the the debris in the winter is all over this section of the block. It clogs drains, falls on cars etc....I hope it is removed in a timely fashion and the person(s) responsible takes the neighborhoods calls to please have a "management plan" for this residential area. The City permitted homes here—it needs to work with the community to maintain the street's health—vehicular and pedestrian mobility.
  • Liemert Oakland, California - Oakmore
The trees on Leimert blvd. are out of control and overgrown. When I drive I actually cross in to ongoing traffic because of the overgrown shrubs/trees/vines etc...MY CAR LITERALLY CAN NOT FIT IN THE LANE--THIS IS NOT SAFE (not to mention the back of Bywood is crumbling on to Leimert Blvd. which could desperately benefit from a RETAINING WALL--professionally engineered). There are a few big branches on top of lines as well--see my photo. Big trucks can't go through without hitting them b/c my SUV hits a few low hanging ones. Hope they don't spark! If this is not public right of way but rather Bywood drive residence private property then they need to step up and have them trimmed or the City needs to CITE them and enforce street regulations that help PREVENT FIRES and ACCIDENTS. PREVENTION PEOPLE!!! Lets not wait for an accident!

Again, because of overgrown trees, low branches etc... trucks such as garbage trucks are struggling to get through and take people's recycling. I've contacted PG&E for all tree limbs resting on wires on Leimert Blvd. Now the City and/or Fire Dept. needs to issue warnings to property owners ASAP who are responsible for these trees and not maintaining them. The City also needs to trim back the trees on Leimert in the public right-of-way and on other streets accordingly. These ongoing conditions are making driving hazardous by narrowing the lanes . It is difficult for drivers to see around blind spots at curves.

We need safe sidewalks for our children. We have two schools with ongoing traffic problems. Lets fix these sidewalks and create a walkable neighborhood.

5463-5525 Ascot Drive Oakland, California - Piedmont Pines
Year after year trees fall on Ascot. It keeps happening and our community is not taking preventative measures! I took a walk this morning and will now be recording the number of DEAD trees (still standing) and dead trees on the ground that I assume are a fire hazard?!! NEXT TO TWO SCHOOLS. So many tree's have been marked for removal. Here is one that fell over the walkway Sunday. Are the children supposed to go in the street? What is the long term tree removal strategy for Monterey/Ascot?
