I opened this ticket last night and it was closed this morning without inspection and with the assumption this tree is on private property. The easement in which the street light is installed around which this invasive species tree is permitted to grow is not on private property. It is on the street-side of the sidewalk and it is the city's accountability to maintain safe and well-lit residential streets. This is not a private citizen code compliance issue, but a city compliance violation of its commitment to its citizens.

Damaged tree from September 2022, Hurricane Ian, is a safety hazard to pedestrians drivers, and structures. Tree needs to come down. Outreach to absent property owner has not been successful Resident rents property. Tree took out two utility poles, brought down cables, and lit on fire during the storm. Blocked alley and took out several yards of nearby fencing. Before the 2023 season begins and the tree causes more loss, it needs to come down

This is my third attempt to report this without having it closed before it is correctly addressed This is NOT about utilities; it's about a tree that needs to come down See 14153149 which was my second attempt.

This pictured tree in our neighbor's yard was destroyed in a hurricane on September 28, 2023, with two of its largest limbs breaking and taking down the nearby power lines, cable lines, two power poles, and a sizable section of our privacy fence. We reached out to the homeowner who is not the renter living there, 505 43rd St S, and have never heard back from him nor has any action been taken to remove this tree, whether by the homeowner or the City. It is unstable and unsafe for pedestrians, vehicless, and nearby structures. It needs to come down before the 2023 hurricane season begins before it can be a hazard or threaten anyone's life.

Tree in question is at 404 43rd St, across from Fifth Avenue Church of Christ that sits on the corner of Fifth Av S and 43rd St S. Fallen tree took out the alley street light pole. Duke has taken the pole down all the way for replacement and restored the overhead cables but there's still a large limb headed back for the overhead wires again.

For going on three weeks this number has sat wrapped around this utility pole How long does it need to sit here before someone, anyone, from Sanitation drives by and calls it in? Why must this neighborhood be cluttered with crap and debris and the only time the City does something about it is if there's the potential to fine someone?

Recycling missed again. We opened a ticket this past Saturday and it's now Wednesday evening and the bin has still not been picked up, having been missed last Friday This occurs too frequently and without explanation. It's not hidden by a fence or overgrowth, and is the last bin on the right before stopping at the sidewalk to proceed up to 43rd Street to exit the alley. This is on the northeast corner of our property at 4301 Emerson Av S, at the alley backing up to the house on the corner of 43rd St S and Fifth Av S.

How is that I get letters threatening me with a $500 a day fine for parking on the grass in my yard from the city and this dump of a business is allowed to just let the trash from its patrons just pile up all over the property? What’s the rationale behind code compliance enforcement in this city? Does this business pay for the privilege of overlooking how trashy their property looks and because I need to put new mulch down on the parking space in my yard, I get a $500 a day fine notice? Yes, this infuriates me because this business has always looked like this and nothing ever happens no matter how many times I report this. Is that why I got the threatening letter about parking my car in my yard? Someone explain this, please.
