Rightmost green signal is burned out for w/b Encinitas Bl. traffic at the Moonlight Marketplace (Lazy Acres / Wendy's) shopping center.

Need a crosswalk and ped. signals connecting the NE and SE corners of the La Costa Av / Highway 101 intersection.

Unable to trigger a green light @ Leucadia Bl. when bicycling n/b on Quail Gardens Drive, in either through or left turn lane.

Non-responsive traffic signal loop detector, s/b Orpheus @ Leucadia Bl. I am normally very successful in triggering traffic lights with my bicycle, but I was unable to get a green this morning, despite putting my wheels directly over the detector loop.

Pedestrian buttons to cross the n/b I-5 offramp at Encinitas Bl. in either direction (east-west or west-east) are nonresponsive.

There is a huge problem with left-turning s/b to e/b motorists violating right-of-way of other traffic. We need either a protected left turn signal or active enforcement of traffic laws by the sheriff. A lot of near-misses at this intersection.

Green traffic signal phase for Calle Magdalena entering Encinitas Bl. is too short for bicyclists. I can trip the green light (thank you!), but because of the crown in Encinitas Bl., crossing the intersection is an uphill climb. Today the light turned red for me while I was still crossing. Another second or two of green light would greatly enhance safety.

Crash barrier crumpled and once again blocking pedestrian access under I-5.

Each morning circa 0600 the traffic light stays green for Vulcan Av. for extended periods of time (probably a full minute or two), as traffic understandably backs up on Encinitas Bl. Ped. button response and cycle seem normal.

Serious flooding of bike/ped path along west side of I-5 between Genesee and Roselle.

Someone has run into the collapsible yellow plastic water-filled end of the K-rail barrier under I-5, westbound Encinitas Bl. Need to replace the first few containers, which have been crushed.

The southbound/uphill bike lane appears to have been restriped into a two-way facility. Given the grade, this creates a severe head-on collision hazard. Northbound (i.e., fast downhill) cyclists belong on the east side of the road, adjacent to northbound traffic.

Northern end of Sunset Dr. / Ocean View Av. intersection -- small, but very deep, round hole in asphalt.

Left arrow from e/b Encinitas Bl. to n/b Vulcan Av. is difficult (hit-and-miss) for bicyclists to trigger. The loop sensitivity may be legally adequate, but since the loop cut is invisible, it is difficult to put one's wheels directly over it. Please mark the "sweet spot."
