  • Memorial Dr/ Montgomery St Chicopee, Massachusetts - Chicopee
During heavy traffic those lights are definitely not timed properly. Where Memorial Dr/ Montgomery St & Sheridan St intersect, depending on which lane has the green light they close off that intersection when the light turns green for the next Street to proceed. The light at the bridge/ bottom of Grattan St stays red way too long to keep the traffic moving over the bridge to open up that intersection of Memorial Dr/ Montgomery St & Sheridan St. Have someone sit there at 5:00pm and watch the mess there. At the end of either of those streets you might sit through 2 or 3 green lights before your able to continue on your way. What a giant mess, don't know who set those lights up but they need to rethink their set up. Hope someone does something about that before someone gets killed there. Also check out Main St coming from the P.O. or the senior center at aprox 3:00pm. Traffic backed up all the way from the light to the post office..........another bad set up.

Just my opinion but the back entrance to Big Y, Charter & B.J's needs to be closed off and all traffic needs to enter from Memorial Dr. There is way too much going on at that intersection when it's possible to use the lights on Memorial Dr to get into that area. All other venues are entered from there so can that one.

The light at the entrance to Comp H.S is messed up once again. It turns red when there are no cars exiting. Tuesday night on my way home at 9:40pm I pulled over and watched the light for a couple of minutes and in the span of maybe 3 mintes the light turned red 3 times for no apparent reaason. I think someone needs to check into this situation.
