There are weed trees (sumac) growing along the Tingly Ball Park Field Fence on the North side. In addition there is a pine tree that appears to be dying. It began to appear brown at the top, the brown is spreading to the bottom. We have a drug encampment under that stand of trees.

One of the lights on the north side of Tingly Ball Park is out as well as one on the West side.The light is the third one in from the 8th St. side of the park. Behind the 800 block of Stover Ave SW.
There is a drug encampment there and the lights have been taken out since they have been there since January.

806 Stover Ave SW is an empty. The owner placed a 6 foot fence in the front yard on the west side which he attached with ribbon to my grape vine trellis. The wind blew it down so I ignored it. However I found that the panel had been shoved back leaning on my grapes and pushing the trellis forward. This 6 foot fence should not have been put in the front yard to begin with since it is against zoning. The For Sale sign is down so I suspect that either the new owners of the realtor shoved it back up. Please fix this.

Yesterday while walking my dogs in Tingly Ball Park I found a man and a woman sitting on the hill Visible from Stover Ave. The woman had a tourniquet tied around her leg and the man with a needle in his hand appeared to be searching for a vein. This is an every day occurrence. We have been calling 242-cops since January when the drug camp first appeared. Our eye witness accounts do not factor in for reasonable cause to search. The police have to witness the activity. The people who use drugs know the rule so do not have to worry if we see them. In addition to a well organized camp they have at least one look out car every day parked in the north side of Tingly Ball Park parking lot. We have mostly seen an older model dark blue Jeep and a small white/silver car in the 'look out' site. We have a new White Cadillac as well as newer model cars park, a well nourished man leaves his car and goes to the drug camp for a few minutes gets back in his car and drive away. The bike traffic is constant going to and from the drug camp. We have been told that there isn't anything we can do about it. Calling 242-cops just gets our location an increase in call numbers to identify it as needing more Police Coverage. Since the Police have their hands tied and cannot do anything about it and we have our hands tied it appears that the solution we have is to live with it! I have advocated for two hour no loitering zones in our parks and no loitering in our alleys as well as drug sniffing dogs. It would at least be a start to make our parks less inviting. Even if they changed to work in shifts it would would still be doing something! It is not this bad in every city.

I first called 242-cops at 5pm. I indicated that I found 3 syringes. (ended up being 6) I was on hold, discontented 6 times, transferred back to 242-cops, after being on hold again when I was transferred to the fire department I was disconnected. I called 311 to ask if he would get the information to them. He argued with me and said it is the homeowners responsibility! It is a health hazard every where in this country. Only the fire department is trained and have a sharps container. A young fireman began to tell me I could pick them up and put them in a plastic container! NO it is a health hazard! This comes from the Department of Health. This is outrageous. In addition I recently spoke with a security guard at the bus station downtown and he indicated that he picks up at least 9 a day. Why haven't people in this community been educated about this!?

I just submitted a reported that side walk lights are out in Tingly Ball Park. Three lights on the north side are out. The address appeared as something else. The Tingly Ball Park is between Atlantic on the south, Stover Ave SW and between 8th and 10th.

The Tingly Ball Park lights are out again on the North side of Tingly Ball park. Recently repaired.

An electric pole is tilted. Can be found in the alley behind the 800 block of Stover Ave sw.

This has previously reported. The car has been there over 3 weeks!
