Contractor is violating building codes at ongoing project 10042 South Yacht Club Drive Treasure Island. Seawall violation, 3109 6.3.1.1 and other code violaions. The city of Treasure has allowed this with no calculations for storm water runoff and other engineering required. The City is also allowing a huge amount of fill to be dumped into the backyard of the property effectively raising the grade by approx 4 feet. We believe the city is in error. We live at property adjacent (North) of 10042 South Yacht Club Drive and are very concerned about storm water runoff and other issues associated with this project that will add a 2 foot wall on top of the seawall cap and effectively raise the grade of the property approx 4 feet higher than the grade of the adjacent properties. It is our understanding that pursuant to Florida Building Code Section 3109 7.1.3 the county will investigate issues of non compliance. Please advise if we can get some help on this....we are very concerned!
