Concerned Cantonite

Over the last several months we've been noticing a problem with our water quality. In spite of having a water softener, we are STILL having hard water issues leaving scummy film on the bathtubs and the toilets, we've noticed hard water stains on our dishes and glasses. We have spoken to several neighboring residents who are actually experiencing the same thing. I'm looking for answers if the water department has either started doing something or stopped doing something to cause the issue, which all started approximately 8 months ago. Please advise at your earliest convenience. Thank you!

The streetlight on this pole, #772B2-85, located at 206-17th St. NE, is out and makes this entire area of the neighborhood too dark at night. Please have this replaced. Thx!

I noticed that this area/issue was reported before, and the city reported they checked on it on 2/22/19 and nothing was found. Why is it then, that when I drove by this area this past weekend, I was able to take this picture of apparently the SAME JUNK still there?

From 15th St NE up to 16th St NE on the left side of Cherry Ave, there are 3 or 4 properties that desperately need addressed. The property on the corner of 15th, the 3rd and fourth property up that side of Cherry, ALL need their grass cut! When you are at the corner of 16th St NE, trying to turn left onto Cherry, you CANNOT see oncoming trafic!!

These owners need alerted immediately so they can remedy this issue.This is an accident waiting to happen!!

The property owner nor the tenants do anything to maintain this overgrown hillside and all the weeds etc, blow into all the neighboring yards. It is even overflowing onto the neighboring driveway at 219. This needs taken care of ASAP and then PROPERLY maintained thereafter.

As soon as the grass crew finishes the business on the triangle, they can go right across the street to this house on corner of 15th & Walnut. Another absolute disgrace of home ownership or landlord abandonment! Grass needs cut!!

This business property on the Triangle of Market/Walnut is another "High Grass eye sore". Please get cut.

This corner lot of 17th St & Market Ave NE is absolutely ridiculous. It is all overgrown with weeds/high grass. For those of us in the area that actually TRY to keep our places looking nice, this is like fighting a losing battle! Please get this cut ASAP--Thanks!

Having to travel this side street in order to get to my house, I have to ask why isn't this road FIXED properly??? There were complaints about this street at this time last year and all that has been done is patching the holes. WHY can't this street be done properly(like you redid 30th St NW) once and for all??

The grass at this property is so high, if something is not done soon, you'll need a brush hog to cut it down!! Don't know/care who owns it, just get it cut!! Wouldn't be surprised if there's animals living over there as well.

This property was being rented and now the tenants have left. There is furniture, a TV(or two), garbage, etc. all along the sidewalk/tree lawn area in front of this house. Obviously, the tenants most likely won't be back to take care of this. So the property owners/rental company needs to get this removed.

This parking area is owned by Ron Burns who lives on 17th St NE. The area is cluttered with junk, old mattresses and furniture & vehicles. This needs addressed and cleaned up immediately.
This is NOT the first time that he has been reported for this.

This house was a rental for the past few years and the tenants just recently left. The yard has not been mowed in months and is overgrown. There is garbage/debris all around. Property needs immediate attention.

When exiting the freeway at this off-ramp, you are UNABLE to see approaching traffic coming down Fulton Rd from under the bridge. This is an accident WAITING TO HAPPEN!!! PLEASE get this mowed ASAP! Thanks

There is a pothole in the left hand lane of Cherry Ave between 16th-17th St NE that you could lose your car in!! This needs repaired ASAP. Also further down Cherry in front of the Fisher Foods grocery store,(14th St NE approx.), either the attempts to patch whatever have failed or the pavement is being buckled/heaved in the left hand lane also. This area also needs attention. Actually if I'm not mistaken, there are areas below 12th St also, that need patching/repair.

I still have to ask "WHY" are there no fancy street light posts along Market Ave from 16th-18th St, like there is all along the Ridgewood area and all down thru Downtown?? Being the main stretch of road leading into Downtown Canton, "The Hall of Fame City", this should look like our main "calling card" thoroughfare!! What makes the Tuscarawas stretch of road out by Crystal Park, more attractive for that type of improvement, over the MAIN stretch of road thru Canton that has had those light posts in place for YEARS!!!???? And please, don't tell me we ran out of money for that. What magic fund is taking care of all the "new" sidewalk concrete being poured on Market Ave currently?
