    Railing on Carpenter at Union has been smashed and broken for months after a car hit it, and it also partially blocks the sidewalk. Any idea on when it’s going to be repaired?

    The very LOUD clanging sound is back every time a car drives over these manhole covers on South Main (152) at the intersection of Carpenter Street. These “shock absorbers” that are put under the covers don’t last very long. All you need to do is stand by as traffic drives over them. I can easily hear them with all of my windows closed. Not sure if there’s a better longterm solution.

    DPW says the last request was closed but this is still CLUNKING and very LOUD every time a car drives over the manhole cover. It’s the manhole cover on the Carpenter Street side of the center line, on South Main. Just stand there a few minutes and listen as cars drive over it.
