Is there any way the “road closed to thru traffic” signs could be put up on E. Breckenridge again for the weekend? With 9 mile closed for Dream Cruise prep and E. Vester having the road closed signs, every single car is using E. Breckenridge for a detour! It’s too much traffic and they are going too fast, especially with our lack of driveways and parking on both sides of the street between Leland & Bermuda (cars are basically having standoffs because they can’t get through). By now, this should be standard practice when 9 mile is closed for festivals & such. Detouring traffic to to Cambourne makes so much more sense!

Is there any way the city could put the “street closed to through traffic” on E Breckenridge between Bermuda & Leland like the signs on Vester during festivals? Even with the permit parking, the street gets packs with cars parked bumper to bumper on both sides! There is only one lane in the middle for driving and there are only a handful of driveways to pull off into when a car is traveling in the opposite direction. To make matters worse, the cars that go down Leland as a detour off of nine mile, end up going down the first open street (Breckenridge) and speeding down the street. If the street closed sign were up, the detoured traffic would hopefully go to Cambourne, which has the fire lane/no parking on the north side, so there would be more room and there are stop signs every block to slow speeders. Anyway, this just makes sense and I don’t know why it’s never happened in the 10 years I’ve lived on E. Breckenridge!

The crosswalk lights at the pedestrian crossing on 9 mile between Leland & Paxton do not work.

There’s a very large branch balancing on another branch and some wires (not sure if it’s power lines, cable lines, etc) in the a Breckenridge/Vester alley.

The state of the sidewalk on the north side of 9 Mile between Paxton & Leland has been absolutely ridiculous this winter! The buildings are fenced off and set for construction of some sort and the sign states that the city is a partner in this construction, yet the sidewalk has not been cleared once after a snow storm! I walk my dog down that stretch of sidewalk daily and have had to change my route or walk in the bike lane to avoid injury on the packed down, icy snow. It’s bad enough when residents don’t shovel, but when it’s on 9 mile that’s unexceptable.
