    Beep-beep. Beep-beep. Beep-beep. Can’t sleep. I met a tech over there this morning who was working on it, said it would be back down to previous levels. I was ecstatic, because until last night I’d never noticed the beeping. It’s still beeping like an alarm clock has been left on in the far end of my house. Please. I need to sleep.

    I’m lying awake at midnight on a work night because the newly installed crosswalk signal at Oakwood Ave. and Raleigh Blvd. has been beeping steadily for the last long while. It’s like a quiet alarm. My window is not terribly close to the intersection. Can the volume be adjusted or turned off altogether?
