14 Churchill Rd Hamden, CT, 06517, USA - Spring Glen
Our property suffers massive flooding with every heavy rainfall. Water accumulation is directly related to the overflow of the neighboring stream. The stream cannot handle heavy rainfall. Whenever the water level nearly reaches or surpasses the stream bank, we get flooding. The issue is ongoing for years- far before we moved into the neighborhood. I called the Town Engineer office in late December to file a report.

The storm drain on this corner is perennially clogged. I logged a report of this nearly 5 years ago and it has never been addressed. With any rainfall, a huge amount of rain collects. Especially concerning during winter given potential for large amount of ice.

This very large tree in the median at the corner of Brookside and Churchill is completely dead and there are multiple branches dangling and on the ground next to it. It stands at the intersection of multiple power lines. There are other threads in this forum about trees around here but unclear to me if this one specifically and importantly there appears to have been no activity related to addressing these issues in a long time. This tree is going to fall in a heavy storm and there will be damage to power lines and adjacent property.

  • 156 Mill Rock Road - Hamden
Residents of 156 Mill Rock Road typically have 2-3 cars parked on the sidewalk outside their home due to the fact that they have multiple tenants living in the home. Likely a zoning issue in addition to being visually unappealing and blocking the sidewalk.
