Mercer Island, WA Neighbor

The community center received a call from a patron who was in the park looking at the fallen tree. She said the tree was caught in some branches but could fall into the road.

There is a large tree on the west side of East Mercer at this location that is leaning dangerously over the street. It looks like it could fall at any time.

west end of flicker trail, southeast quadrant of pioneer park. Need MORE gravel to mitigate muddy flooding on the trail. This is AFTER the recent feb 26 or feb 27 gravel patch. Look at photo (which shows the recent patch). Areas slightly to the EAST and WEST of the new gravel patch still need gravel. EXPAND the new gravel patch perhaps 30 feet both east and west.

Would you kindly increase signage for the trails in this part of the park to better indicate that this is an on leash area. There is a notification on the large sign as you enter from E. Mercer but nothing along the way.

We woke up to find the signpost on our corner knocked down. The post includes street locators and a dead-end indicator.

Lots of car window broken glass in lower parking lot. Safety hazard and could indicate it needs better police patrolling

The light at se 40th St and 86th ave SE is too short for traffic to cross over 86th eastbound. Every weekday between 8:45 to 9:45 AM and when school lets out in the afternoon, there is a back up of cars on se 40th just like the photo demonstrates. Only 1 or 2 cars can turn left onto se 40th st from island crest way Southbound, and those cars stick out into the intersection. This is extremely dangerous and time consuming. The congestion is only getting worse.

~2’x 21/2 ‘ x 2’ deep hole near base of 🛑 sign at SW corner. My shoe is 14” long. Not marked so easy to step/ fall into.

There is a fairly substantial sink hole on the west side of west mercer way at SE 60th st next to the stop sign on the south side of 60th st.

Multiple very large, deep potholes just before entry to westbound I-90 from N Mercer Way. In 30+ years on MI, these are the worst, most dangerous potholes I have encountered. They have been there for weeks.

Please look at the trees on the east side of 84th Ave SE from SE 28th to SE 35th. Some have large branches hanging over the road and one at the corner of SE 28th and 84th SE has what looks to be a large broken branch hanging from a tree. All the trees lean towards the west since other trees in the park block the sun from the east. There are also many dead branches on the ground in the space between the road and the path that parallels the road just inside the park, and a few dead trees. With our dry summers this is a lot of fuel for a fire! At the very least, can you remove the dead branches?

Very toxic smelling odor that seems to be near the storm drains.
We live at 2225 70th SE. We smelled it at 8:00 when walking our dog.
It is also very pungent on SE 22.
Not an emergency, but thought it should be checked out?
