Traffic, Street Sign or Light Issue ArchivedUs301 And Desoto Road Sarasota, Florida - North SarasotaThe left turn light onto Desoto (southbound on US301)has been shortened, only one or two cars can legally make it through that light, before 4-5 cars could get through. What was achieved by this?

Traffic, Street Sign or Light Issue ArchivedTaywood Meadow And Honore Ave Sarasota, Florida - The MeadowsI often sit at this light for 3-5 minutes waiting to get a green arrow to turn left going north on Honore Ave. It doesn't matter if it is early morning or late afternoon, same thing, most drivers end up going right and then doing a u-turn back north again. Not a good situation.

Traffic, Street Sign or Light Issue Archived5280 University Parkway Sarasota, Florida - Sarasota CountyThere is a dangerous situation since the Wawa gas station and Whole foods opened. Traffic leaving these places who are trying to re-enter east bound traffic on University Parkway is the problem. I have seen cars pull out and block that right turn lane leading to Honore so they can shoot across 3 lanes of traffic to turn left (north) onto Honore. Also I have seen cars getting in the right lane too early to make the right turn onto Honore with their signal on and a car will pull out in front of them thinking they are turning into the exit they are coming out of. where as they are continuing on to Honore. The exit needs to be closed and leave an entrance only for traffic going,in, the exiting cars can go out behind Whole Foods where they have a light to go on, making it much safer for everybody. I travel this route twice everyday and witness many close calls.
