The new sidewalk/curb/parking decorative brick is causing major issues on 101 Ave. Specifically, the entrance to the parking lot at 10045 101 Ave is often blocked by parked vehicles because there is terrible definition between the parking areas and the driveway into/out of the lot. The other day I was stuck in the lot because a vehicle was blocking my exit. (Picture attached.) I was forced to drive over the sidewalk in order to get to an appointment. Additionally, customers at my business do not know if they can park because there is no difference between the sidewalk and street parking areas. As well, the different coloured brick that I assume is meant to space out parking spots is not used that way, so there is often people parked in a way that drastically reduces the number of people who can park on the street in total. There needs to be some way to mitigate these issues, perhaps by painting the parking spots a different colour than the sidewalk and again a different colour from the parking lot entrances. As well, high visibility lines should be painted in order to facilitate efficient use of parking space. There also needs to be no parking signs put up at parking lot entrances and near fire hydrants, as people just assume they can park anywhere on the brick, if they know they can park on the brick.

Related, the extra-wide sidewalks hold up traffic when a bus or large (delivery) vehicle needs to turn, as they have to enter the oncoming traffic lane in order to make the turn without hitting the curb.
