Inspection Services responded that there are no code violations, but the fence was installed to keep people and pets from possibly getting injured by the trains using the track. I fail to understand how this is not a code violation of some sort.

    I reported this last May as issue #7786706. That issue was closed by City Hall as a duplicate of issue #7787145. I cannot see #7787145 anywhere, so I can't verify that anything is being done about my original issue. Please let me know what's happening.

    Two sections of fence are down on Waverly St across from Chestnut St. They should be removed. This fence, which seems to be there to hide piles of old railroad tracks, is a continuing problem since it isn't maintained. Best if it could be removed entirely.

    Please see archived issue ID 7432193. The fence on Waverly across from Chestnut St has been pushed back so it's not over the sidewalk, but it's still in danger of collapse. In response to Issue 7432193 the MBTA has told us that the fence isn't theirs. Please either fix the fence, remove it, or convince MBTA that it's their problem. (The GIS online map seems to indicate that the property is owned by the railroad.)
