Two weeks ago the city spent 3-days partially cleaning the south half of Leet Drive. Must have been exhausting. They never came back to finish the job.
Here is a picture of the North end of the street. There is not enough room for 2-way traffic on this street. The street is littered with trash and debris. Someone had mentioned in a previous post about their tires being destroyed because of all the debris.
I am also curious why there is a question about the encampment being located near a waterway. This trash heap is directly next to a waterway. Does its location make it more urgent to get this mess cleaned up? -

I assume it was dont by the campers around the corner to aid them in filling their water barrels for their personal use.
It seems very dangerous to public safety to have someone altering fire fighting equipment given the high likely hood of a fire breaking out in this area. Lots of trees and a unsheltered encampment just around the corner. -

The residents of this encampment are now filling barrels with water from the fire hydrant at the corner of Capwell Drive and Pendleton. Oakland Fire would probably not approve of the fire hydrants being used for personal hydration use.

The fire hydrant is now missing the cap that covers one of the water outlets. If this hydrant is damaged due to an I train user it puts the entire neighborhood in fire danger.

Large amount of trash and human waste being dumped into the waterway 20 feet away from the encampment. This is polluting the bay waters as this trash and human waste is being carried in and out of the waterway with the tides. Very dangerous situation.

Alameda county finally came down and cleared the debris on part of this walking trail between the homeless encampment and the waterway 30 feet away. The encampment is still there and there is trash bri g dumped in the waterway polluting the waterway and the bay waters. How can this be allowed?
Besides polluting the waterways, the other side of the encampment has narrowed the road so much that it is nearly impossible for traffic because of the double and triple parked cars and the makeshift homes built onto the street. This has become completely out of hand.
