1101–1129 Marsh Rd Redwood City CA 94063, United States - Menlo Park
The pedestrian freeway crossing on Marsh Road over 101 is choked with weeds. The approach on both sides needs to be weed-whacked before the wild fennel; etc. take over, but the eastbound side (shown in photo) is particularly bad. This is a route that high school students use to get to TIDE Academy (I talked to one this morning). Please give them the dignity of a clear path to school-they already have to enough to deal with crossing the freeway entrances and exits. --

A driver evidently hit the protective barrier at the top of our street. So sad that people cannot drive more carefully!

I've lived in Menlo Park for over 20 years and just noticed this very faded sign the other day! Can it be removed altogether? It has clearly seen better days!

The street barrier and signage to keep cars from speeding down our (dead-end) street has been smashed! Looks like a car backed into it earlier today. Hope it can be fixed soon!

Foliage from trees overhead is blocking view of traffic lights at Bay Rd. X Marsh Rd. (Trees are on south side of Marsh Rd. and blocking the view for drivers/bicyclists heading east on Marsh Rd before the intersection with Bay.)

Aqua cruiser/bicycle has been abandoned in the bike rack in front of Kepler's for weeks. Back wheel has been stripped and it is dusty and cobwebby. There is a Kryptonite lock securing it to the rack. Hope you can remove, thanks!
  • 144-199 Encinal Ave Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - Menlo Park
The office complex at Sixteen hundred El Camino Real has a parking lot with an exit/entrance at Encinal Ave. For those exiting the parking lot at Encinal, visibility is poor: It’s difficult to see oncoming traffic without going way out into the street in order to see who is coming from the left. The parking lot is a popular route for the community, with young bicyclists going to school. The large truck shown in the photo is often parked here. Ideally, the existing red curb would be extended in order to provide better visibility for everyone negotiating this intersection.
  • Celia'S 1850 El Camino Real, Atherton, CA, 94027, USA - Menlo Park
“No Parking” sign in front of Celia’s restaurant was knocked over a few weeks ago and is lying abandoned near the curb. About 10 feet south is where the sign used to be installed and the hole is covered by an orange cone. Since this is on ECR, not sure if it is MP’s responsibility or Caltrans. Thanks in advance for your attention.

Overgrown tree foliage blocks visibility of yellow pedestrian crosswalk sign for the HAWK at ECR x Alejandra Ave. for traffic headed northbound on ECR. (You can just see the edges of the yellow sign in the photo.) In the past, I believe MP staff has worked directly with the Park Forest apartment complex to ensure tree is trimmed back (this is a recurring issue).

  • 1600-1668 El Camino Real Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA - Menlo Park
On ECR heading northbound towards Atherton, right-hand traffic light at NE corner of Encinal Ave. does not turn green when the main light turns green. Sorry the photo isn't taken at the best angle, but the traffic light in the center is green, but the right-hand traffic light shows a whitish circle when it should be green. I was on my bike on ECR directly facing the light and waiting for it to change from red, so a little confusing for me when the green light didn't go on. Thanks in advance for your help.
  • 1850 El Camino Real Menlo Park, California - Menlo Park
The red curb in front of Celia's restaurant has faded to light pink and the "No Parking" sign is listing to one side and looks as if it is about to fall over. I am a resident on nearby Spruce Ave., and have noticed delivery trucks parked in front of Celia's, blocking views of traffic for those who are trying to exit Spruce on to El Camino (which is why the red curb/no parking was instituted). By refreshing the red paint and making sure the sign is in place, hopefully truck drivers will be discouraged from stopping/parking here. Thanks in advance for your help with this safety issue!
