The new bike lane on Sparks is great and all, until you try to make a left onto Brattle and realize what a mess this intersection is.

I am in the bike lane about to make a left when this white car blows through the stop and also turns left, effectively cutting me off hard.

I caught up to him before he got into Memorial and he claims he didn’t see me. “What? What did I do?” This guy sucks.

This whole section of Brattle now sucks for both cyclists trying to turn onto it, as well as for drivers.

Don’t get me started on how Appleton is a giant cf now with a 3-way stop.

Two times in three days, multiple cars have been turning right from Mason St. onto Brattle St. and driving in the bike lane, while there are bikes commuting in both directions. The first instance observed was Friday afternoon 3/3/23 with three cars, and today 3/5/23 with three cars.

On Friday, I was already close to the intersection while riding in the bike lane, so could not easily duck out. Riding a cargo bike, it’s less easy to squeeze by. Today, I saw it happen and decided to continue my commute on Hawthorn and avoid this mess.

This feels like a game of Lemmings to me; once someone makes that turn into the bike lane on Brattle, everyone else follows.

How do we stop inattentive drivers from doing this?

This bike has not moved in at least 1.5 yrs.

The traffic light for bicycles as seen from Dewolfe St. bike lane, to cross Mt. Auburn has been turned to face the brick building.

As a result, bicyclists cannot see the traffic light signals that indicate when the light is green for bicycles.

Please fix.

Safety hazard at the playground behind MLK school. Between the fence and the bushes next to playground structures there are three sharp poles, two bicycle wheels, signpost with concrete base, two drainage grates. Please remove before some kids get hurt and end up in the hospital.

Bike repair station on Memorial Drive and Hingham St vandalized. Every tool except floor pump is missing.

Used needle on Putnam Ave, on Peabody Terrace side of street, across from MLK school. I picked it up, wrapped it up and threw it away.
