    Detour signs block the view from people pulling out of Johnson Street onto St Marys St. These signs make it impossible to see oncoming traffic causing many accidents. 2 MAJOR accidents in 2 weeks.

    This intersection has become a mess in recent years as traffic and density has increased. Two areas are extremely problematic here:

    1) Parking on Hillsborough Street in front of Meraki Salon obstructs the view of vehicles turning right on Hillsborough from Ashe Ave. Numerous "near-miss" accidents happen here as cars dart out into traffic from Ashe because they cannot see any traffic due to cars parked on Hillsborough. This needs to be a "No Parking" zone as indicated in the photo.

    2) People are constantly attempting to make a U-Turn from the turn lane on Hillsborough to Ashe. There is nowhere near enough room here to execute a U-Turn and cars often block/disrupt traffic as they either get stuck on the curb or are forced into a 3-point turn. Horns honk and insults are hurled during these maneuvers creating a hostile atmosphere. There needs to be a "No U-Turn" sign in the concrete median as indicated in the photo.
