The bike lane has effectively disappeared, causing motorized road users to barge into the bike lane and treat this section of road as a 2 lane road for right turns.

There is a traffic light facing north on the SW corner traffic light pole of this intersection for traffic traveling southbound on PORTLAND ST.

This light shows the same signal as the traffic lights for MAIN ST (which are synchronized for both directions) instead of PORTLAND ST.

In other words, a vehicle traveling southbound on PORTLAND ST at this intersection may see that light, and cross MAIN ST when traffic on MAIN ST in both directions has right of way, and an accident can occur.

In front of the fire department is a big storm drain with hole plates that makes it unsafe to bike over. The asphalt "ramps" do not help.

The straight and turning lanes on this part of the street are also uneven which pose a trip and mechanical fall hazard for bike riders.

Due to construction, the sidewalk is not accessible and a temporary protected lane has been created that goes over the bike lane.

This means that while pedestrians take this path:
- bikers will bike into it thinking it is part of the bike lane but will almost crash into a pedestrian on the other side.
- bikers who are smart will know this is a pedestrian lane, and will merge into a lane in this intersection, either unsafely with traffic rushing by or biking through a red.

Is there anything that can be done to alleviate this construction related situation?

The lights on this bridge have not been on for some time now.

Please turn them back on as the days start getting shorter for pedestrian and biker safety.
