Is this section of sidewalk closed long term? If so, there needs to be city-provided signage that directs and allows pedestrians to cross to the opposite side in advance. This does not make sense.

Please stripe ASAP. Crossing guards during school hours is not a substitute for a 24/7 visual pedestrian protected crosswalk.

I just turned off this spigot that was spraying 6’ into the air. Was it on intentionally?

Please prioritize stripping the crosswalks on all sides of the school. Kids are in school and these crossing areas are basically visible right now.

Can you please stripe the crosswalk? It is really difficult to see from the east side.

Back corner is re-filling with weeds, shrubs, and small trees. This area was recently improved so that people and rodents could not easily spend time in this blind corner. Kindly remove the re-growth.

Is parking like this allowed on Bedford Street. Part of the Street is Cambridge, part Somerville. This point at the Porter Street junction is often a tremendous squeeze or impassable. Please place signage or yellow paint and make it so cars can make turns from Porter onto Bedford.

It is difficult for cars to pass through from Porter Street to Bedford St or Bedford to Porter when there are cars parked near the corner. When there are cars coming in both directions it is terrible. It would be nice if there was some signage about what is acceptable. Bedford is only one block long and half of it is in Somerville so it is often misused.
  • 27–45 Warren St Cambridge 02141, United States - Wellington-Harrington
Please pint a big STOP on front of this crosswalk from the traveling east side. Cars use Porter Street as a fast cut through to avoid the intersection at Cambridge and Warren/Mederios. The cars are traveling quite fast and then use the raised crossing as an Evil-Canevil jump ramp into Warren Street. Perhaps another Stop sign could also be posted on the North side of the street.

This street is brand new. Why are the drains higher than the gutters? The puddle is four feet wide and fifty feet long.
  • 33 Warren St Cambridge 02141, United States - Wellington-Harrington
Newport construction paved the final layer of asphalt today. They did not creat a sufficient rise in elevation between the two drains in the odd side of Porter Street between Warren and Bedford. During construction, there has been a 30+ foot long puddle as much as 3 feet wide in this area. The neighborhood assumed that Newport would be skilled enough to properly incline the final paving such that drainage would actually flow into the drains. However, there are high spots between the two drains. Very disappointed that they would spend two summers to improve drainage and water lines, only to leave permanent puddles that take days to evaporate. This is in the narrowest area of Porter Street and vehicles will certainly be driving over an ice sheet this winter.
