Yesterday, 9/11/18, in the late morning, there was a water outage at my home. Afterwards, water coming from taps and showers was very brown. I had to flush all taps and outlets in the house for a long time to get the water to run clear again. I probably wasted a thousand gallons of water doing this!! I have been trying to follow the city's water outage alerts and as far as I could tell, none of them was supposed to affect my area. What happened?
