  • Bike Rack Request Acknowledged
Bondir 279 Broadway, Cambridge, MA, 02139, USA - The Port
Longfellows/Lamplighter is a popular destination but there are no bike racks besides a small one that only fits two bikes. It would be great to have a real bike rack here. I am actually sitting in the coffee shop and have seen numerous people come by on bike and not have a place to leave it. It would be great to put a rack maybe in the parking place out front. After all, a bike rack would fit at least 10 bikes while the parking space only fits one car. It would allow for many more custumers for local businesses!

The protected bike lane on Broadway is impassible, forcing cyclists to veer dangerously into the street. This is unacceptable to have a bike lane completely covered in ice, especially as Cambridge touts itself as a bike-friendly city. Further up the street, the sidewalk level bike lane has had snow pushed into it and has aso not been plowed. The bike lane on the other side of the street is also full of snow. This is unacceptable!

So great to see the new 6th Street path open again! The new bike path is great however the paving is quite bumpy. The never surface makes it difficult to bike over.

This road is very bumpy and hard for cyclists to ride on. As it is a popular route for cyclists going between Cambridge/Kendall and Somerville, repaving the road would lead to a much more pleasant and safe ride.

At the entrance to the raised bike lane, there is often water pooled (in this photo there is less water than is there usually). While it is an inconvenience now, I am worried it will become dangerous in the winter if it were to freeze.

A Lyft with the license place 8BJ565 pulled into the bike lane to let a passenger off, despite the fact that there was both a load/unload spot and a wide area of striped pavement that was empty. I attempted to get the attention of the driver to let them know they were in the bike lane (in case it was an honest mistake) but they waved me off and drove away.
