Needles on grass under trees at Singing Arrow Park. This is on east end of park, near Rachel Road entrance There is a community center with children's programs mere footsteps away. Cleaning this park is priority one because of childhood programs, right?

The city is well aware that there is drug use and camping in this park. In part, the city exacerbates the situation by continuing to have the last bus stop of the city in a residential area .-. If you aren't going tpenalize e drug usor o provide wrap around services for the folks who choose to shoot up in parks, at leasmake a concerted effort to t clean up the pa s f people who actually care about the park. Please make tending to this park a priority. It can’t go days and weeks without someone working on it.

Finally, this iss are absoluwritten ly on n of a dangerous situation. Again, this park is the city's responsibility and the city is liable for injuries caused y ineffectual attention to this park. You can see part of my children’s shadows in the photo. My dog almost stepped on these needle.id. Feel free to contact me if needed.ice ..

Singing Arrow Park. Came to let my kids play at the park and a person has turned it into their personal hotel. Table covered in belongings, drying clothes on the monkey bars, dumping trash in the park outside his vehicle. Just ridiculous .

The three rightmost lanes of Eastbound I-40 between mile markers 162 -167 are heavily populated with deep potholes. Some cars are forced to swerve dangerously to avoid the really bad potholes. I've noticed there have been attempts at patching these, but the patch lasts about 2 days before it's gone. The patch material does not stick to the substrate Please repair this area in a meaningful and substantial way. Thank you.

There is an epic problem at Singing Arrow Park, behind the community center construction. MULTIPLE homeless campers are using the park as day and night shelter. The sprinklers in this area wet on for at least 2 hours in which the campers were bathing and washing clothes. It was bizarre yesterday (Labor Day). Some of the homeless campers are obviously high, some shout frighteningly at passers by. It is just about to be a tent city. There’s garbage all over and they are probably going potty in the park. Merely walking by the park with my kids was unsafe due to the sheer number of unstable and confrontational individuals. What can we do? We'd move, but who's going to buy or rent a home next to an open air homeless shelter? We pay taxes but can't even go out the door without feeling unsafe.

The garbage cans are overflowing and garbage is piling up around them. Also again the grass is dying near the construction site.

There is an encampment on the trailhead entering into the Tijeras Arroyo open space. This trailhead is on the Easternmost part of Singing Arrow Park. Police can access this easiest from Rachel Road off Four Hills Rd. This is blocking the trail and the people appear aggressive. During the Stay-at-Home Order, we have few options to get our children exercise and enrichment. This bold encampment limits us even further.

This is just one photo of the needles and liquor bottles (and garbage) by camp area on the eastern side of Singing Arrow Park (this right up against wall of 13301 Rachel Rd). Kids have to be able to walk in the park without this dangerous filth lying around. I’m sure this exact camp has been reported by other neighbors in the last week. I don’t know what to do but report it. When we came upon it, at least I was able to show my kids what to avoid. So sad.

There is a hazardous (and unlawful) campsite in Singing Arrow Park. It has been there for weeks and is getting worse. It’s a hazard in so many ways, especially a healthy hazard. The homeless camper has strewn refuse over a 20 foot area, there are multiple shopping carts, pillows, rotten food, countless bottles, & human waste. This is in the bushes just off the walking trail by the south fence line, pretty close to the basket ball courts. It’s worse every time we have to pass it. Why can’t my kids use the park without all this? Not sure why the camper can’t clean up his mess? Please help!

I know this issue has been reported well over a dozen times by my neighbors (and twice by me) over the past two months. Again, there are deep and numerous potholes just South of the Central and Tramway intersection. In fact, the road is so HORRIBLE that I’m not sure they can even be called potholes at this point. Don’t you dare say this is a DOT issue again. At the risk of sounding too lawyerly, let me remind the city that the south terminus of NM 556 (Tramway) starts at NM 333 (Central). We are talking about a problem on Tramway SOUTH of Central (not NM 556); this is 100% city responsibility (unless there is some sort of weird agreement with DOT that the public doesn’t know about). The city is going to get sued as drivers swerve as they have less and less actual road left to drive on. Not sure what we are supposed to do. Can you please make fixing it a priority?

There is a broken ground control panel on the east end of Singing Arrow Park. This has been reported previously yet it remains a hazard for anyone walking through the park. My little one almost fell in today because it’s now obscured by overgrown grass and full of tumbleweeds and he didn’t see it. Please fix this or put up something to block it!
