I reported this house once on June 10th and again on June 16th but received no response. An hour ago I called the non emergency number and just spoke with an officer who came to my house.

About 75 minutes ago the pitbull mix at this property rammed his head into their side gate which caused their side gate to open with enough space for dogs to get through. Thankfully the pitbull hurt/scared himself and ran away, but the two chihuahuas on the property got loose. I fell on the ground trying to get away, at which point the dogs surrounded my dog and I. I got up and had to kick one which scared it away, and needed to kick the other dog two times before one of the owners picked it up.

I specifically said in my previous two reports no more than one month ago that I am scared of getting attacked as these dogs have gotten loose at least 3 other times in the last several years. If the pitbull had not scared/hurt himself, the outcome would have been severely different as he has bitten an owner/dog in an incident back in April or May when he got loose. I saw part of the incident through my window and later heard from a neighbor about it.

I initially did not want to resort to calling the police and opted for the app in order to remain anonymous, but my and my dog’s safety is at serious risk at this point. I understand the chihuahuas aren’t going to be taken as seriously but I am concerned nonetheless as no dog bite is good, and especially if it is my dog being bit. Let alone if the pitbull gets loose.

I have no choice but to walk by this house as I live in the direction of the dead-end of Bay Avenue and therefore there is no alternate route. I hug the fence line of the house across the street when walking by but this only buys me time to react rather than any safety. Something needs to be done about this house before me, my dog, or somebody else gets seriously injured.

The officer I spoke with was very nice and got my name, number, and birthday, but I wanted a written record of this as well. I am hoping if this gets passed to NBPD that a report of this incident will exist and you will have this information. Thank you.

Can you please do something about this house? It was reported over a year ago for never shoveling their sidewalk (both on James Ave. and Slater Rd.) and nothing was ever done about it. They still rarely shovel their sidewalk.

They don't work either so it isn't like they're too busy, as they have two cars always sitting in their driveway. One of these cars qualifies as blight because it has been totaled for over two years now due to the driver's side wheel being destroyed and the driver's side door literally ripped off and the hole covered by a trash bags. Animals sometimes rip through these bags and live inside the car. They use this car as a storage unit now, and have a small cardboard box of snow and trash sitting behind it next to the sidewalk.

I have no doubt the house itself isn't livable and should be condemned. But please at least do something about the sidewalk considering it has a mailbox people use. Children also walk to DiLoreto using this sidewalk and have to walk in the road whenever it snows because these people refuse to shovel it.

I know this is a long shot, but is there any way to improve this intersection? I saw you guys added a left turn arrow on the side going toward AW Stanley and I (and I'm sure many others) were really appreciative of that since I use the intersection twice a day.

But it's still a wonky intersection. The side going toward Farmington next to the gas station has no left turn arrow light but has a left turn lane. This usually wouldn't be a problem but as I'm sure you possibly may have noticed, the opposite side gets backed up by highway traffic.

As a result of this and the fact that the road is wide enough for two lanes, drivers have created an unoffficial right/straight lane to ease the flow. The problem is that if you're turning left opposite of them, and see the car across from you turning left (in what is legally just a single lane), you can wrongly assume you are clear to turn.

I'm not sure where the Farmington border begins but if it's where the "welcome to Farmington" sign is, then NB should be clear to add a right/straight lane at that intersection on the Farmington side? Or at the very least add a left turn light for the traffic opposite of that side.

There have been too many accidents at this intersection. There was one this morning (technically in Farmington) and another worse one tonight at the intersection itself. Drivers are going to keep using the shoulder on the Farmington side to go straight/turn right onto Slater. We may as well make it safer to do so for either those on the opposite side, or both sides by adding a lane to one side and a left turn light to the other.

I apologize if this is the wrong section but I wasn't sure where else to put it. Also apologize if this has been suggested before.

I posted this under "how can we help
you" last Saturday and it literally didn't even get anyone assigned to it, much less have the issue actually acknowledged so I'm reposting it again. There is a wasp hive under this fire hydrant. It's been growing every week with more and more activity. Please remove it as it's a danger to anyone either walking their dog or firefighters who may use the hydrant. Thanks.

Please refer to the post made on 1/26 for the bulk of the details about this issue.

The follow-up is that I was told to leave the trash bin on the street after trash pickup so that someone could come today to replace the lid that the trash contractors broke off my garbage bin and then took with them.

No one ever came and since the roads are narrow as it is due to the snow storm, I have put my bin back as of exactly 4pm today so that it isn't in the way.

I understand the snow storm complicated things so perhaps they forgot, but I'm reposting this issue since it was never resolved and the lid replacement seems like it needs to be rescheduled.

    Thank you.

A few years ago I made a post here around August 21st, 2018 (I have pictures of the trash bin from that date). In that post I expressed my concern that the contractors assigned to do the trash removal were carelessly dropping bins when emptying them, and that one of my bins cracked a bit as a result. I was told they would be talked to.

Well it seems they were either never talked to or ignored what they were told, as since then the problem kept occurring every few weeks. I figured there was no point in making another complaint unless the bin actually breaks, since they ignored the first complaint.

Last week (1/19), as seen in the picture, they finally broke the bin. In the background you can also see a neighbor’s bin carelessly thrown on the ground. In this picture, you can also see that one handle is still intact on the lid, so we managed to fix the bin that they broke so that the lid was still functional.

Unfortunately, today when they came by to empty the bin, they not only broke the lid off the bin again, but took the lid with them when emptying the trash. The bin now has no lid and we would like a free replacement since I voiced my concern that exactly this would happen several years ago on this app, and was told it would be handled and the issue was marked as “resolved”.

I’m trying to be as nice about this as I can, which is why I just let it go after the complaint I made years ago went unresolved and they continued to throw the bins on the street. But this is exactly what I was worried would happen and why I made the complaint back then.

There’s a massive pothole/dip in the road that spans the entire width of the lane going South. It’s been there for at least the last year if not more, right next to where you would turn right into Dunkin Donuts. At first I thought it was intended (because it doesn’t look like an ordinary pot hole) but it is not there on Google Maps’ street view from 2012. I know we just got snow but I keep forgetting to post this because it is always on my way to work. Can cause severe damage to a car’s exhaust for people that don’t know about it.
