Car parked on sidewalk in front of auto-repair shop on a Sunday. This is in violation of the building owner’s agreement with Community Board 14, which granted a variance for the operation of an auto shop in this residential neighborhood under certain conditions (including NO cars parked on the sidewalk). Have repeatedly reported this since the variance was granted, but the problem continues. I have also reported this to the police via the 311 smartphone app.

Two cars parked on sidewalk in front of vacant commercial space (former auto-repair shop). Notified police using NYC 311 app and received a reply that they deemed police action to be unnecessary. The next morning, the cars are still there. This happens regularly on this block even though it is illegal to block the sidewalk. What can be done?

Once again, a car is parked on the sidewalk in front of Dorlette Motors. This happens regularly in front of this business, prohibiting people with disabilities or children in strollers from passing.

After neighbors complained about cars parked on sidewalks in front of the auto shop operating at this address, for a short while the shop owner/employees complied with the conditions listed on the C of O (as well as city laws). However, over the past week they have violated their C of O by parking cars on the sidewalk again. We have reported this multiple times via 311, and each time we receive a response that the condition was not observed or been resolved. Please, please don’t allow this business to continue operating in violation of its C of so.
