This happened for the 3rd time in two years, this exact spot. Drunks living in Snug Harbor community can't handle the straight road (and their liquor), and inevitably end up in the ditch near our house. We lost a mailbox last year. House across from us lost trees as the drunk veered from our side across the road into their yard. (I'm sure you can look up the police report from sept 19th, 2016). This time due to excess water they couldn't just drive out, so the ditch is destroyed, there are piles of dirt, branches and ruts that don't resemble a ditch, there is no drainage and nowhere for water to go. Aside from fixing this, we need better traffic management. People fly on this road and the little speeding sign is doing nothing, plus it's only facing out leaving the neighborhood. People coming in need speed pumps or lines or the road grated along the edge or something to alert the sleepy drunks they're about to come off the road. Or even, I don't know, create permanent drainage pipes and make a decent shoulder. That would be appreciated. Some houses' covered up their drains and have no run off. what's the point?
