Recent city "drainage maintenance" work along the 1/4 mile stretch I own (along 1464 Princess Anne Rd + my adjacent "lot") has removed ALL maintained grasses & has left a 10 to 15 ft wide area of barren soil from the edge of the road through the ditch for the entire length of the 1/4 mile I own plus others lots up to the Pleasant Ridge Rd intersection. The 1/4 mile of road frontage I own was meticulously maintained in grass and mowed/trimmed every 2 weeks thru the ditch to the road. This entire area from the Pleasant Ridge Rd intersection south past my property @ 1464 Princess Anne Rd and beyond has ALWAYS DRAINED WELL & NEVER HAD ANY STANDING WATER EVEN WITH THE HEAVIEST OF RAIN!!! So I do NOT understand the city's action of removing ALL of the mowed grass & topsoil between the ditch and the road (many feet wide) leaving barren dirt to wash into & fill the ditch with any significant rain, thus defeating any purpose of scraping out the ditch in the first place. THIS AREA, PREVIOUSLY WELL MAINTIANED/MOWED GRASS, NOW LEFT BARREN BY THE CITY, NEEDS TO BE SEEDED/MATTED BY THE CITY ASAP TO AVOID EROSION OF THE MANY FEET WIDE AREA EXTENDING FOR CLOSE TO A HALF MILE TOTAL.
