The location in question is at the starting coordinates of 38.8393284, -76.9922810 to 38.8398045, -76.9922458. The closest crossing street is 10th Pl SE and Mississippi Ave SE. Attached is a google maps photo.

The property owner is Eagle Academy. The property where the brush is entrenching on directly is the Towns at Archer Park Association. The white fence is shown. As a resident where my property back up into this area. Eagle Academy has allowed grass, weeds, and vine to grow beyond the allowable size. I’ve included a photo where the vines and weeds are encroaching into the association property. According to the HOA, Eagle Academy has not responded to their request.

I’m making a residential request that DCRA get into to get Eagle Academy to comply with the law. There are rodents and snakes that go back in that area which brings diseases and could cause an increase in rodents and snakes.

I’d also like to ensure the safety of the students attending the academy as there is a erupted fence where kids or adults can get within the gated playground of the school. This poses a hazard to students and faculty, especially with the gun violence in Ward 8.

The property is not complying with the District Regulations (DCMR 14, Section 302 Exterior Property Areas). The weeds and vines are in excess of the 8 inch allowance. Ownership of property is Eagle Academy.

Eagle Academy does not properly trim the trees and maintain the weed growth that is entrenching the property on the other side of the fence. I’ve seen rodents and snakes go back in the unkept area.
