    The Leimert Bridge is in sad shape. There are deep potholes going in both directions on the bridge. The sides of the bridge itself have deep cracks where the plaster is falling off. Trees have grown up and through the chain link fence, further deteriorating the integrity of the bridge.

    This morning as my casual carpool driver was getting on 880 from 7th Street we were almost broadsided by a semi-truck also entering the freeway from another direction. We slammed on the brakes and narrowly missed getting killed. The signal is not working. The driver said it was not working yesterday either.
