I own two properties on Dwight Street: 163 Dwight and 215 Dwight. I upkeep these properties assiduously. The property at 189 Dwight Street has serious blight issues and is making the neighborhood unsightly and driving down property values. Within the last year, repair work began on this property but then abruptly ended. Please address this issue!

My name is Corinne E. Blackmer and I am the owner of this property at 215 Dwight Street, New Haven. I currently have 7 tenants in this 2-family house, and all of them own bicycles. They are currently, by necessity, parking them in the front interior hallway, which is a fire hazard, and, as the basement is not accessible to the 4 tenants on the second floor and as the stairwell leading to the basement is too narrow to carry bicycles up and down, I am requesting that the city place a public bike rack near the front of the building. Other neighbors, who are also bicycle riders, would appreciate this as well.

My name is Corinne E. Blackmer and I am the owner of the property located at 215 Dwight Street. I recently purchased this property, and, after my request, the city Public Works replaced the badly broken sidewalks in the front and partial side (located on Edgewood Avenue since this is a corner lot) of the property. However, the city did not repair the apron or sidewalks in front of the garage of the property, which is located near the corner of Dwight and Edgewood. I am soon planning on removing the unsightly garage structure with three exterior parking spaces and would appreciate if the city could kindly repair the concrete sidewalks and apron in front of the garage of 215 Dwight.
