February 2019 has been a Nightmare dealing with TECO'S contractor SEC. I live at 720 31st street North. They have dug up the alley behind my house and where the dumpster sits 6 times. Only once did they tell me- the other 5 times I was Stuck in my house as they dug huge holes behind my garage-Unable to get in my car and leave. Each time they made our alley more of a mess to drive in and more concrete they dug up. Large chunks left behind..
I do Welcome progress for our city. I asked one of the workers if they would be paving the large area since it was concrete before they came along. He told me give us two weeks to make it right. Well another company came and patched small areas- but never touched the large area. The city in the past has patched small areas making it look like a patch quilt rather than a alley way. I find this UNACCEPTABLE, as do my fellow tax paying home owner neighbors that also use this alley daily. We take pride in our alley and keep it clean.
I feel the city should make this right and repave our alley as the patches will not last thru the summer rains. SEC has destroyed our alley. I have included a picture I taken this morning after a heavy rain yesterday.
